This kind of content is why I first subscribed to SA and why I subscribed to SA+ now. I'm not a specialist but you really do a great job both on the cars and as video editing.

Great video, I wish it was that easy on my 911 and Subie. Boxer motors almost always require engine for head work.

How are you supposed to do the exhaust side? The rollers don’t move far enough out of the way to use the tool
@ChrisLeeK24 Жыл бұрын
So you have to do a valve lash adjustment even if you are not changing cams and only changing springs and retainers

Howdy, If installing a dual valve springs do i need to replace the seats and stems, thanks much
@Drawlah Жыл бұрын
If the engine in question came with single springs as standard then yes you need to change the seats, valve stems I’m presuming your talking about the valves themselves, no you don’t need to change those just the seats and while your in there you’ll have to do the valve stem seals

Your video was very informative. I do have a question..I know u did 1 cylinder but what would happen if you had to rotate the crankshaft to do the other cylinders? With the timing chain still on? Would someone just have to hold it while the other person turns the crankshaft?
@TheRealTypeC2 жыл бұрын
@kawehi S since the cams are out, all the valves are shut and you don't have to rotate the crank at all. You can do all 16 without rotation. This method is much easier than removing the head.

What do you do to not have your valve stems not fall into the cylinder
@skillzorz101 Жыл бұрын
He has compressed air put into the cylinder to hold the valves up.

So would this solve oil burning in a k24a??
@a_void2 жыл бұрын
My K24A3 didn't burn any noticeable amount of oil. However my current K24Z3 is burning oil :(. I already replaced the PCV valve and it didn't help
@camerona3290 Жыл бұрын
@@a_void ive heard the k24z3s burn oil due to the wrong piston rings being installed from the factory.
