I am looking at replacing my alternator this weekend from my 1.0, Would it be worth removing the water pump to remove it or can it be pulled out the top with the water pump in place?

If I remember correctly. The best way is to remove the air con pump (if fitted) and move it aside with pipes fitted. Then the alternator drops downwards. Good luck!

Thanks. Yeah I used a aftermarket pump. There plenty available and the gasket is provided with the pump.
