Crazy to see how dirty my cabin air filter was after 1 year of trails and streets! Glad I replaced it!

I opened mine up to confirm I have them in there--apparently, some LCs don't!--and found them ... filthy ... and like about a cup of wet detritus that I scooped out of that compartment. New ones are on the way!!!!

I'm sure you'll be putting the Toyota Mechanic's 3 kids through College if you have this done at the Dealer. 🤦🏼‍♂️ The Microfilter design in the 200 Series is A LOT easier to service.

Check that your heater hoses are connected - if they are and there's no heat, then check your heat sink radiator. If the radiator needs to be replaced, it's a massive job. The whole dash has to come out to replace the radiator; I got a mechanic to do it for me, and it was in there two days...

@MisterMemo if you've driven around with the thermostat set to heat and the airflow to external (not recirc) with no hot or warm air coming through the vents, it'll be the hoses or radiator. Of there's heat coming through the vents with the above done, then it could be a fuse or connection issue

Hey Carlos, Not all have the cabin filters. I would check first by removing the glove box and checking before ordering. Yes, the front bumper has work out great, thank you again!

Some years didn’t have cabin filters. There’s a guy on KZbin explains and show how to add a filter.

Loved the video. I am hearing what sounds like leaves brushing the fan while it's on. Will changing the cabin filter likely fix this due to debris or do I have a nest in the fan area? It sounds like it's right below the glove box area. Thanks!

Thanks for watching and subscribing! Changing out the filter and cleaning the area should help. If not, there might be leaves or other debri in the unit.

@@MisterMemo I cleaned the fan area last night and there were remnants of string, leaves and plastic bag pieces that were making the noise. Dust wasn't bad. Quiet as new now. Thanks!

Some didn't come with air filters or that cover I believe. I think you can order the front cover so you can add it and add cabin filters.
