Will this work for a 2013 RS5? Specifically, I have a friend who lost their 2013 RS5 to the Marshall fire we had in CO back in 2021. He recently offered me his old keys as possible back-ups for my RS5 of the same year. Can I use this method to reprogram them for use with my car, can a locksmith do it, or can Audi do it?

that im not sure. my key was already programed to my car so i just "reconnected" it. if its a key from another car, i think you would need Audi to program it to your car.

Did you have to hold a specific way having trouble with my second r8 key

no i just put the back of the key up against the symbol and waited for it to register
