Thank you for sharing this! We watched at least 15 other videos searching for answers, no one said this. But this worked for restarting our dufus Peugeot Rifter. Just glad we weren’t going to the airport and missing a flight. 😁 Thank you! 🙏🏼

Interesting. I had this happen but I'm puzzled. The key not detected and not being able to lock the car happened out of the blue several months ago. I tried locking it manually and with the key too-it won't lock and beeps too. I was able to drive home fine, and then next drive was back to normal. I had to re-charge the battery several days ago and it's been driving and locking fine. Then, this happened again. Shoot! (btw, my habit is to lock it manually as I carry the key in my purse) This time I noticed the key not detected, although in park. However, it started up ok though, continued the drive and made another stop. Car locked fine, drove home, and locked fine again. So this appeared to be twice and pretty much out of the blue. Thanks for your video. I'm sidelining it for later if I need.

Thank you. I replaced batteries in both our key fobs, still not working consistently. Intermittent and sometimes takes me 3 or 4 minutes to start. I’m in Texas, and it’s hot as blazes. Sometimes I’m dripping in sweat before I can get it started. Gong to try this. I’ll come back here and post if it works.

Well, to show you what a dope I am. As it turns out, I wasn’t pushing the brake peddle hard enough. I’ve been driving this car since 2017, and for some reason unknown to me, the brake peddle has to have a bit more pressure applied than before. I did have the front brakes redone a couple of months ago, but I would think in that state (car is off at that point, it wouldn’t make a difference. I’m no mechanic.

It worked - once. I was able to unlock the door the next morning after reconnecting the 22-C battery by having the key fob in my pocket outside the locked car. Next time I got out of the car, the yellow key-shaped warning light came on again and I was again unable to lock or unlock the doors by holding the key fob. Next suggestion please? (I already replaced the fob 2032 battery, and also confirmed that jy 22-V battery is strong.)

My RX 350 2012 has started saying key detected and I'm driving. I have slammed my hatch so much I'm afraid I will break something. Beeps and door locks have even opened and then relocked

you don't need to do all that, all you need to do is place the key fob to the start button and it will find the key and then you can start the vehicle.. This happens some times and it will event ell you on the display dash to place the key on the start button, and it resets no problem..

Well I can start my 2014 Prius C this way but the auto detection and auto door unlock and the lock unlock buttons continue to be none operational. I replaced the battery due to the low fob battery warning light and now nothing from the buttons or auto detect. I have replaced the batteries in the fob before all continued to work.
