Does not work. Says "no signal", "cant be decoded". ? Should atenna & Firestick be connected to tv or not?

You should def have your antenna and Firestick plugged in when you're resetting. If it's still saying "no signal" or "can't be decoded," maybe check the input settings or try reconnecting your devices.

Doesn't work. I have also been able to get to menus and tried to delete apps... says they were but once restarted the apps were still there

This is useless if TV won't come on. Sony xbr-55x850c will not factory reset because it will not turn on.
