To give my personal experience on my 21 R/T plus. My iPhone would virtually be connected to the unconnect but wasn’t physically working without Apple car play. I did the soft rest and it worked just like that. Appreciate it my boy. I’m going to also spread the awareness

Awesome information! My 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee's radio volume went "off the charts" loud and would not reset. All the U-Connect Apps did the same thing, crazy loud. I tried your fix and it worked perfectly! Thank you for sharing!!!

I have a 2018 Dodge Durango SXT and I'm having an issue where my screen freezes at the Dodge logo it doesn't do it all the time but when it does it takes several times to start the car for it to go back to the screen showing all icons and stuff but I tryed to press and hold down the volume button and the tune at the same time like you said but but when I hold the power button screen turns off so I don't know how to do that without the power going off

Replace the charging cable. I have the issue with my older cables. When I get new one, it works. Happened when I first bought my Durango and got nervous but turned out it was just the cable I had.

Thanks great video my issue is I have the HK system in my charger the SXM radio sounds great and very loud now when I hook it up though Uconnect though Bluetooth my music gets very low it’s not as loud as the system should be I got over 1000 songs on my phone and only 3 or 4 sound very loud the rest are low I was wondering if there’s something I can do about that thanks

Thank you very much, my RAM 2020 radio/media keeps restarting, rear cam freezes, blue screen of death, all that and dealerships/stealer-ships keeps saying "we cant reproduce the issue", yet it happens randomly. I just did the reset, but very much doubt it will work in my case, any idea bud, thanks again.

@@GardrexArts Yes. I did it about 3 times same time, just to be sure, as it was glitchy, not sure who method I used back then.. but a reset did it.

I have a 21 Durango tow n go package and my Uconnect Sometimes doesn’t connect to Apple CarPlay or Bluetooth nothing just AM FM radio work so then I have to disconnect my phone and it’ll start working again.

Software glitches. I would check the manual or have the dealer update. Usually when you have issues like that it just needs an update but a soft reset could help.

@@hemipowered9264 Cool. I will try this. Mine won't respond to the app. So, no starts, door lock or unlock, etc. I have called Uconnect twice. Both times it would work after their support but never would work again. They told me I had to take the car to the dealer. The dealer had no idea what to do with it. They said they have never seen this before. But, they said the get a lot of reports about it randomly not working. But, not all the time not working. I'm gonna give this a try. Maybe we will get lucky. With all that said it is not a big deal. I would never pay for it once the trial ran out anyway. But, it can be convenient. On my 19 it worked flawlessly.

How is it that you can reset by holding the 2 buttons down...when the one on the left is the radio POWER button which turns my screen immediately off.

If you have a 21 charger that's how it works. If you have a different model year it may not work the same

If a soft reset doesnt work you may need to contact your dealership and have them reset it. You can also reset to factory settings at your own risk.

When I put mine in reverse, I can see a bigger black line on the left side compared to the right. I think the screen is off centered, but the dealer is saying it's normal. Does your screen have equal side lines?

Hey boss. I got a 2020 R/T and just recently a message kept popping up on my dash “device not supported.” Nothing is in my USBs because I only use Bluetooth. Haven’t tried out this trick yet because I’m at work but if it doesn’t do you have any other idea on what could be wrong?

Do you have a manual for your ride? If not you can check online - look up soft reset for UConnect

How do I do a hard restart for the Uconnect. I have a 21 Charger SRT Scat Trak. My GPS is about 2000 miles off. Im in Oregon, it's in Alabama and it wont change also, it will not connect to SXM. I was on the phone with them for hours and still no luck; screen just says acquiring signal. TIA.

Probably have to take it to the dealer - call and check if they charge for service if under warranty. Otherwise, disconnecting the battery is the best way to hard reset. You can remove the fuse too at your risk.

Unplug the car battery or have the dealership reset Uconnect. You shouldn't have to go through a hard reset unless there is an issue with the device.

HELP!!!!! I disconnected my battery to reset UConnet and all it did was totally delete my Serius. Now when the radio comes on it looks like just an AM/FM/Bluetooth. What do I do now??

What year is it? That method applies to 20-21. Maybe check the owners manual online or you can have the dealer reset

Do you have a 21 model? Check your owners manual for a soft reset. Otherwise, if you need a hard reset you will have to go to a dealership.
