My RX-V473 receiver was acting badly... no HDMI out signal and the left input button turned the power off. This reset totally fixed it... thanks!!!

Thank you!!! I have the RX-V671 and this solved my issue. Have had it for around 15 years without any problem but yesterday it stopped outputting sound to the speakers other than when I connected the YPAO MIC to test it. I reset the unit using your instructions and it's working fine again. Many thanks!

Thanks for this detailed Video. In My setup, Front Right/Lift/Centre speakers are working fine but Surround Speakers not detected while connecting to TV. While connecting Radio, all speakers working with ( Surround right and left also) but only facing while connecting TV, Showing disabled in setup menu also. Please help and suggest

That fixed my rx-467. Thanks. This was my main receiver until I found a flagship Pioneer 49txi. Fantastic amp, but right channel and left surround went out. Possibly due to several power outages in a row 🤷‍♂️ now Yamaha is back in place. Don't know why it glitched on me.

According to the manual (RX-A3060) the remote control can also be reset back to factory settings, would you recommend going this route along with resetting the amp itself?

Hello, need help!! it’s been more than 3 years last time I turned ON my RX-V, surprised that front right channel isn’t working at all, no signal from the receiver arriving to the sub, another issue that I noticed, when I touch the main couplers, the lower one “main-in, pre-out” at backside I hear a loud hum from the channel that isn’t even working which is front right, our local authorized dealer doesn’t help, they said due to its age, they doesn’t have its service manual, I’m sure they will get that online, so they didn’t do anything!!! Appreciate any recommendations!! RX-V2095 (1999-2000) year!!

Please, my Yamaha RX-V6A, when I select USB source/input or Blu ray or other sources, after a FEW of seconds, the receiver automatically selects the bluetooth source. I tried on the menu to disactive the bluetooth but..nothing! 😢

I do not play my Yamaha 6140 A/V receiver much, recently I attempted to add my Advent Jade speakers to accompany a pair of Bose 4001. I thought I completed the installation correctly but I am not getting any sound. Any advice to help, so I can do my James Brown camel walk ?

Hi! my 2 year old Yamaha v685 suddenly shows “update failed”. I tried updating by downloading the latest update.. but after S6:1 it ends up with ERROR 010000. Tried wifi, hdmi and SD Stick updates - all end up the same way. Cannot access on-screen to reset. Yamaha said i needed to take it to a factory authorized repair shop who chgs $99 just to accept it! I tried holding straight button & power button, getting to the power toggle button to choose reset… but it won’t go there! Any ideas?

I got a rx-v673 used. I was assured it was fully tested. But when I got it home, nothing but the direct mode would work. Nothing involving the DSP would work at all, not through speakers, not through headphones. Anyone else experience this?
