1. acknowledge: where am i? what makes me unhappy right now? what do I want to get done? 2. release: let go, declutter your spaces, free yourself. )these steps are perpetual) 3. gratitude: be thankful for what you have in the present moment. 4. declare: profess the things you want inside your life, say what you want 5. action: take guided and intentional action towards those things that will bring you more satisfaction and happiness

The reason why the Millennials are unable to afford a home and have long term investments is because the government has trained us to focus on short term things like overpriced clothing, jewelry, upgrades, social media, etc.... I have been a minimalist for the past 2 years and I LOVE IT. I focus less on what I don't have and more on what life is about, memories and moments.

You are absolutely right - I agree. It's so unfortunate they really programmed some of us to focus on all the wrong things in life. I am on a journey to become as minimalistic as I can, and it's been one of the best choices of my life.

The GOVERNMENT did not do that to you. Advertisers, celebrity worship, social media, retailers and more have taught us over the years that more mean better. They have taught us to fill the holes in our souls with stuff when it doesn't really work. Mr. Banks has told us to walk away from social media and other forms of advertising in order to learn to be strong enough to not fall for their manipulations. Most of the time if we do not know that the next "awesome" product exists then we would be perfectly happy with what we own.

I'm on #2 release. A relationship on Facebook that had become toxic to me. Letting it go with no hard feelings and with no guilt. Trying not to worry about that person's energy; I don't need to take on their feelings. I can move on but don't need to feel like I should "fix" something that made me feel unhappy. Thanks for this relevant video today as it was just what I needed in this minimalistic journey.

Action- the works we do- is the best way to show ppl (and your own inner voice of doubt) your faith- in yourself, in your dreams, in your beliefs. And the cool part is -its contagious. I'm surprised and thankful I came across this channel. You're not trying to sell me anything, you aren't putting down women to make me feel better about my own shortcomings, no conspiracies, no attempts to convert me to any religion. Brother you are a rarity on this platform and I wish you all the very best in life. You genuinely come across as someone who wants to help others who are feeling left behind or directionless in life. You acknowledge that even you yourself arent at "the endpoint" of your journey and are actively moving towards that.

I’ve got so many “self-help” books, read so many online resources, that it’s honestly become part of the problem, if for no other reason than it increases the overwhelm. YES! I LOVE THIS. The typical resets that’re supposed to give us back control over our lives end up just making us spiral! It can seem like changing everything at once is a great idea. It gives us the momentum we need to move forward. But, more likely, we just get overwhelmed with all the things we’re trying to get done. I think there’s a better way... Chipping away at our goals.

Faith without work is dead---what a beautiful saying. Clear and to the point. It also reminds me of a saying my grandmother used to reiterate "Good things come to those who wait". She would always say this in the context of working hard and putting in a great deal of effort towards a goal reminding herself and others that patience and perseverance are important. Thanks for sharing this. :)

I wrote down all the steps and praying now for clarity and strength to begin my life reset. I had felt my age (64) stunted my progress as I was living in a false belief that I am too old for change. The adversity I had to overcome is behind me but not without the aftermath of having to rebuild all at my age. Your steps in this video gave me the How? That I needed to know and they are posted on my fridge. Thank you so much and God Bless.

Hi Gillian. you may also love to watch our video on “Why Should You Reboot Yourself” at kzbin.info/www/bejne/hILHc6Bqj5uqm68 Let’s face it, we reboot our mobile phone more than we reboot ourselves, don’t we? You update your phone when the notification pops up, and boom, in minutes, it’s running faster, no more glitches and it’s running smoother than it was before. This is what we need to do for ourselves, don’t you think? Our human body is the mother of all technologies. In this episode, we share how we rebooted our business to align with our life, plus you will learn how to do this for yourself too.

This video speaks to me. I personally keep a gratitude journal and follow the book Simple Abundance by Sarah Ban Breathnach. It was written in 1995 but since then I maintained a journal. Expressing gratitude changes your perception.... personally I get stuck on the action phase. I am really good at starting something like yoga or meditation but it’s hard to stick with it. I can’t seem to move past it. I am still working on figuring it out.

Thank you so much for this video. I have just started my first year looking at minimalism and a purposeful life Sometimes the hard part is letting go and leaving. Sometimes it is letting go of wanting to run away and staying to fight for what you have, by persisting to change yourself in tiny increments that barely seem visible. I love that there is a video that says reset, it is exactly what I want to do and I am so grateful too to everyone who has shared their stories. Now I do not feel alone. Good success to you all x

I’m currently struggling because I fear of not meeting my deadline of getting my life together and fully changing. I’m near 17 years of age. And my goal to get my life together was by 18. I’ve been through a lot to be this young. But just a few months ago I decided to reset my life and be the true me I always wanted to be. So I changed my mindset and cut everyone negative out of my life. And set these life goals. So step 1 and 2 of this video I nailed, but I’m still worried about not making my deadline. G'day Ron, this is great, I've been trying to get my family to understand about the materialistic stuff, now we are moving and everyone is realising that we have way to much stuff and cleaning out everything. It's feeling amazing, cleaning isn't much of a chore anymore. I've also cancelled some of the toxic social media sites like fb. And I don't miss that it feels great. Once all this is done it'll be my soul. Which over the years it's been bad, so hopefully this will work well for me and eventually for my family.

There are two things about this video that I Iike. First, that you say you're never really done with aknowledging the things you want to change and then releasing them. Second, the way you say three and then hold up your middle, ring and pinky finger. Very unique.

Realizing that you need to restart is the most powerful thing you can do. Trust your gut, prepare for failure, fix the thing you failed at, move on, be thankful, be smart, live healthy, Show all your emotions dont hesitate, Dont think about what others think, and get out of your comfort zone and have fun with it. Pretend that your starting a brand new life. Clear your mind.

I know this video was made 2 years ago but Im still going to comment on this, I just turned 17 and I am not happy with how I’m living a single bit I’ve really gotten to a pretty good point physically being healthier etc and mentally I thought but with so much school work related things family friends it’s so much I’m really trying to get my crap together and get to a point where I’m happy and keep excelling in my life this helped me grip all of this and I’m going to try my hardest to accomplish these goals

I love the way to address your audience . As a believer I receive your message as a connection to what pleases GOD as well as living a life we were meant to live. This is a message for the world we live in right now. I will continue to share your video with my friends and at my church with your face talking if you do not mind. There is a message in this and I can see it clearly for myself. Other may see something for them as well. You are right. "it is never to late"
