Hello. Thank you for buying from me. The ”blue string” is actually a blend of Kevlar and carbon fibre to create a cord that has a breaking strain stronger than steel. I sell both a fully assembled and upgraded pull start and I sell just the cord. If the picture of what you bought shows a pull start then yes it is a fully assembled pull start. If it just shows a piece of cord then it is a piece of cord for you to upgrade/ repair your existing pull start. Hope that helps

Hi you doing mate.. I’m thinking about building a project from scratch, I’ve never had any type of rc car engine. Any recommendations or what kind I should start with ?

Hi Jordan. For. First car I would go with a Koyosho Alpha2 pure ten or and Acme Condor. Both are easy to work on and easy to get parts for. Other could be a thunder tiger tomahawk , and HSP truck or buggy or if you want something bigger an HPI Trophy. When you find something you like let me know and I will see if I have a manual for it so you can get parts easily.

Hi Craig. The pull start that will fit the K Series engines is eBay item number 283876750923 if you put that into the eBay search bar it will come up for you. This is a kevlar pull start. I do also carry a standard one but the K series engines are so high on compression that a standard one wouldn’t last five minutes.
