I love that with my Savage X 4.6, you can get a tiny module which uses a 3rd servo to stick it into reverse and that's by using the standard 2 channel transmitter it came with. It's very clever that they thought ahead and designed the gearbox, the gearbox housing and a central slot in the receiver/battery box for that particularr design. I'm well chuffed as if you get stuck somewhere you can now back yourself out without having to go over n get it out yourself. Especially if it's in a non-desirable location e.g. a thorn bush or barbed wire or if its way up underneath somewhere which you can't get into without crawling on your belly to get it out n getting swamped in loads of eyes stinging nitro smoke. I take my hat off to the engineer who came up with that idea. An absolute BRILLIANT lightbulb moment 💡 I'd love to meet that person and shake his hand as they've made so many people's lives so much happier and easier. Bravo engineer. Bravo 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

You are correct. Unfortunately when HPI ceased trading they decided not to continue manufacture of the revers module so they are. Is very hard to find. HPI have since started again but in a very limited capacity and with mostly electric vehicles.

@@RCScrapyard I got mind off eBay as it never came with it as standard. Btw that's me buying Savage X bit's n asking questions on eBay, even though you probably have loads of people asking lot's of questions. I did stick quite a few drops of that oil which is used for engine's that have been sitting for ages. I'm going to clean and rebuild it anyway but I thought I'd let it sit in there. I'm also rebuilding the diff's and shocks. All this time I've been using grease in the diff as that's what the instruction manual tells you to do. But from now on I'm going to use silicone oil. What would you recommend as I want different weights front and rear or doesn't it matter much?

Hello, i have been storing my nitro fuel for a couple of months now, its still quite full and hardly used. Is it still usable? If not what is the correct way of storing.

Hello. Yes it’s still good. Nitro fuel will be good for at least a year as long as it is stored in a dry. Place and with the cap on the bottle. The only thing to avoid with nitro fuel is freezing or damp cold garages. Believe it or not it can absorb moisture and when that happens it will still work but your car will run rough. Hello. You can either squeeze the fuel pipe to stop it or you can us a tissue or cloth and block the exhaust.
