Ah, the case is the matte black version (hence the black panel). My friend had an extra blue panel and gave that to me.

Dude thank you so much for making this video! I just did this mod with the Phanteks combo set RGB strip. I did have to cut one end of the cable (connector where you can daisy chain the strips) for it to fit under the H440 badge. Thanks again :D

standard 5050 interior led strip should fit there w/o problem, as they are smaller than hue+ led strip and they should work toghether as normal smd led cannot control individual smd leds. Another way, is to replace the 5mm leds with 5mm rgb serial led, to a in line rgb cotroller, but soldering and resistances is needed for that.

Press the switch on the backside of the case. There's a switch/button for the lights.

I seriously recommend that you purchase a graphics card support, it seems to have quite a droop on it and it could damage the PCI-E slot if not fixed!

Yo Romsicle I am really tempted to do this to my H440 but the CAM software sucks hardcore. Have you had problems with CAM or the Hue+? My big problem Is that CAM doesn't detect my 2nd channel of lights :( I would really appreciate a response. Been dealing with this for months now. Thanks man, Subscribed 4 sure!

Thanks for the sub! Yeah CAM is the worst, hate it. Haven't had problems with that but possibly loose connection or faulty wires? Try switching out cables and led strips on your first channel to make sure everything is good first. Then, if not, ask NZXT is send you a new led/cable. You might just have to reinstall CAM a few times.

Update: I just modded my case today. Your tutorial was immensely helpful, thanks man for posting this video. My case is even more dope now :) I reinstalled CAM 2-3 times and that fixed the main issue I was having Hallelujah!! My case is now officially rave approved ;)

Oh i just rewatched the video and the led strip is below the lettering then? That makes more sense, i wasnt sure what you meant by lining up the holes between x and t that must have been for the white backplate? Thanks for response, i think ill order that cable mod kit and do the mod this weekend :)

Awesome vid, really thinking about doing this now. Only problem is hard to justify spending 300+ dollars on AER fans, hue+ kit and kraken x62 lol. BTW how are your temps with the radiator at the top, i heard AIO's get hot in this case (i have be quiet dark rock pro 3 my ryzen 1700 stays super cool in this case).

You MIGHT be able to do it - if the female connector for the lighting strips can fit underneath the badge, then you're okay, if not, you won't be able to do this mod without some cutting (would not recommend if you don't know what you're doing)

You don't have to, but without it, the LEDs will look dim.

There's already a hole underneath the badge that's for the original LEDs. Just feed the cable through there.

It has to be connected to work. One led strip is enough, but if you really want two, you need to drill a big hole to fit another strip. If you can't imagine how it works, I suggest you not do it.
