The sharp edge at the hole on the bead is just as bad as the lead sinker. The rubber bumpers work a lot better at protecting the knot than beads. I use the rubber bumpers all of the time, and have not had any knot damage after all day fishing.

We use straws with small floates on b4 the actual float over here in southeastern ohio. Have u seen this style fished b4?

Will that weight hold the bluegill or whatever in a certain spot or will it be able to move freely. I seen u use the bobber where the weight is on the bottom to. With the weight on the bottom it keeps them more stationary? Just getting ready to rig a bobber up and want the bait to stay right where I cast it. Well as much as possible. Not sure if this makes sense lol. What do u think?

Better use the ine with the sinker sitting below on the bottom if you want it to stay put

It depends on what you want to do with it. If you want it to drift freely, put your hook below the sinker. If you want to suspend the bait in one spot, let the weight set on the bottom and tie your hook above it like in the video I'll link at the bottom of the kayak. Just depends on the situation. Hey so got the 2oz and 3 cigar floats. What rig set up would you reccomend that includes a rattler slider with 1-2oz sliding disc weight? Also only got a 2 sided swivel. Aiming for catfish.

I’ve got 6 of the spinning medium heavy but I’m I’m in need of the casting now and I do have 3 of the 9’6” rods but they’re to big for the trip I’m planning to take. What yah think I should order? I’ll be fishing the Ohio in some cover from the bank in areas.

I err on the side of heavy anytime big fish might be a possibility. Considering you are fishing the Ohio, I would say definitely get the heavy power.

have you had any trouble with the triple threat hooks cutting the line at the eyelet?

I haven't so far using 50 lb mono. Are you using a snell knot or something else? If you are using a snell, I always make a point to make sure it is wrapped away from where the eyelet bends back to the shank. If there are burs on them, call whisker seeker. They will get you straightened out.

Is the weight rating of the floats the amount it takes to get them upright or is it a max holding weight?

I prefer the 3 and 4 just because you never know when you will want to use a really, really big bait and they will still work fine the smaller ones. Really appreciate the compliments!

Hey what's that bobber made of plastic or wood. And when you added the weight do you like the bobber to stand up or lay down and when it stands helps you no you got a bite. I finally got my new rod. Got some hooks the lighted up bobber. Now I have the older big bobbers you get from Walmart. But these there are huge I want to get a couple being there not to high. Just little more than what I'm using. But just curious what it's made from. Almost looks foam.
