@@JordanAdventure1 of course Azerbaijan looks really shit and it's basically long straight, 7 90° corners, a section too tight for any decent car, fast left-hand kinks, 2 90° turns and you're on the long straight again (after two flatout kinks) But it does create insanely good "racing" (many overtakes and crashes)

Dingle Dell was 88 to 2002. I have driven it. It was good. Not that anyone used it as a chicane, it was more of a bouncy curve! Also, there's an 18:30 curfew because of a housing estate built near Clearways. I say remove the curfew because they were added knowing that the circuit existed. You buy a house next to a circuit, suck it the f up. Also also, NO! No no no no no NO NO!

So, could you fuck that one up too? You'd have plenty of alternative layouts to pick corners from, and seeing as I'm biased as fuck for being Argie I'd like to see that. The real challenge would be to try something else aside from connecting the old F1 layout to the TC layout in turn 4

Having driven Brands on many occasions - both the GP and Indy circuits, I can assure you it is excellent. Undulating, in it's own natural bowl, it's like church for me. Perfect for slower racing such as Touring cars, and definitely a great place to learn how to drive a race car.

Actually, Brands Hatch has been gradually made more and more bland over the years. It started with a redesign of paddock hill bend which used to be sharper, have a blind, off camber apex and did not have the large run-off area it now has. Graham Hill bend after the Druids hairpin was cut into two more gentle curves when the original was perfectly good in the first place. The Dingle Dell complex used to be far more challenging, but now they've put several half-curves which make the corners much easier. Yet it is still a great track and does not need any more tweaks. Design your own from scratch.

I had an sim racing accident at Brands Hatch a couple of years back. I flipped into the bridge at Pilgrims Drop during a touring car race and my wheel with an aggressive kick of force feedback broke my wrist on the impact. No joke i managed to injure myself sim racing😂

Starfire Storm Yeah, but the short layout doesn't fit the required length, so they are going to enlarge a chicane and make some other adjustments. It already has one of the worst chicanes I've seen, added in the middle of a sweeping curve to limit speed, so I have low hopes on this one. I hope they don't touch the F1/WEC layout, but this is the FIA...

I don't see the point, the new gen car is a lot a faster than the current gen, I say they should use the alternate layout of the full circuit, that makes the turns 4,5 and 6 become a single hairpin, but maybe the straight is far too long

Just rewatching this & noticed something I didn't really pick up the first time - you made a straight from Sheenes which ends at *Grahame Hilll*, the corner at the bottom of the run down from Druids; *really* steep & so blind, sharp and the runoff is the hill back up to the pit exit, so drivers screwing up might well end up in the grandstands the other side of the start straight! that would be worth building it in a sim for. If you really wanted to lengthen it there's all the forest in the gp loop to commit warcrimes in.

@@Quintinohthree Yes, the original layout. Actually, there used to be a slight chicane in Thunder Valley, just where the pedestrian bridge is now. If you look at Google maps, you can see a small section of the remaining road around a tree. IIRC, it was called the tree turn and was eliminated in the late 1960s. There was some talk in the mid-1980s of expanding the track into the woods before where the carousel is, but nothing happened because Jim Trueman died of cancer. I live about 45 minutes away and I've raced at Mid-Oh in SCCA events.
