In this video, I show you the most basic and safest way to go about cleaning an engine bay. It is no doubt, depending on who you talk to, everyone will have different opinions wether an engine should be cleaned/washed or not.
The fact of the matter is there really is no right or wrong way however you always want to be super careful and aware of how you will go about cleaning one of, if not, THE MOST important part of a vehicle, not doing so can result in serious repercussions and as a detailer this is never a good look or even a problem you’d want to experience. Wow, I’ve actually never heard of that. You’d think that you’d want the engine cooled down and not at its highest level of temperature! Hope that helps..

@@detailingbeyondlimits I think he means when the car has just stopped 5 mins ago. It shouldn't be too hot but should be hot enough to get rid of the grime faster than it being cool if it makes sense

I was told that too by a mechanic, that it’s more dangerous to do it with the car off, he literally cleans the engine bay in under 5 minutes, some purple degreaser let it soak for like 2 minutes, pressure wash from far away, air blow dry it , let it sit for a couple minutes to dry any residue down the engine, and spray some shine or w-40

That can depend on your specific city/state. A quick search online with your area’s location would be able to tell you wether you need one or not. In our case, Florida, we do need a business license. Hope that helps :)
