ON MEEE!!! I already have my 4c hair routine down after years. I hate that clickbait stuff for 4c hair like all they want is views and they are so ignorant. I don’t like the stereotype that 4c hair is dry and so hard to manage. I’m 15 and without a lot of products (I literally use white ppl conditioner since my mom doesn’t want to buy a better one and she know nothing about natural hair), I’m able to grow my hair and it passes my collarbone now. 4c hair isn’t as hard to manage as ppl say it is

Another tip I liked for checking moisture was seeing how springy my hair is. If you stretch it and it fully bounces back immediately it's nice and moisturized. When my hair is getting dry it will slowly shrink back up. When it's dry dry my hair will stay stretched out. Hope this helps someone!

Water is moisture!!! Many of us are afraid of getting our hair wet because of shrinkage. I used to be that way until I realized that shrinkage or not, water is not the enemy. I have seen my hair flourish since then. And yes! LB works. Oils are never enough to seal my hair (no matter how much I apply). If I don't seal with butter, my hair becomes dry in no time. Very helpful video. Thank you for sharing. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

So much of this video is so true! Listen to your hair! I used to try to stretch my styles like some youtubers would recommend but I realized that I could only wear my hair out for like 2 days maximum before it dried out! I also used to avoid washing my hair or moisturizing because of the stress of it but I had to learn quick tricks that worked for me. I used to wear wigs a lot but my edges suffered and I was neglecting my hair. Mini twists have been saving my life. I do a cleanse and treatment and then twist my hair into mini twists. These allowed me to moisturize my hair literally everyday if I wanted (which I did). Every morning I’d spray my hair with water, use my leave in conditioner (which has Shea butter) and then seal with whatever oil I had handy. I’d keep them in for about 2-3 weeks and repeat. My hair is GROWING! And it’s moisturized to a point it’s never been before. Before my hair used to feel “superficially” moisturized but now I feel like the consistency has penetrated to my roots! My ends always tell me the health of my hair. Which is why I’m always sure to saturate my ends with my product. My hair and I are in a good place. I think I also used to fear wearing my natural twists as is. I always used to rock twist outs! Now, I only loose out the twists when I’m really dressing up and wanna get fancy. I also had a really good trim at the beginning of the year that helped to kick start my healthy hair journey.
@JennJackson4 жыл бұрын
Thats amazing! This is exactly why I say that moisture is a journey - not a destination. You have to KEEP at it and then your hair will STAY moisturized! Thank you for sharing sis! love it!

So happy I found you! My 13 yr old daughter has your exact same hair type! She's been through quite a journey already. 4th grade, she did a bold big shop that no one could talk her out of. Next, was braids and protective hairstyles, and now she has entered thee "I can do it myself" era. (What a fun moment to reminisce about later on in life - mixing laughter with cringe expressions aking "what was I thinking?"😅 ) I'm just trying to guide her to the light. It's tough when slick hairstyles, loose curls, and babyhairs are the biggest trends. Although they are beautiful styles, eveythung ain't meant for everybody (the industry knows this too). I just want her to love her hair as much as I do and learn to take care of it on her own. Long message, but we do appreciate your content. She told me to share your video with her and subscribe ❤

I’m so happy I started copying you with the LB method. My hair now stays moisturised for a week, instead of just 2/3 days with the cream and oils. Thank you!

Finally a video true to 4C textured hair that I can relate to. No looking at a dry head of supposed 4C hair , only to turn into a full head of ringlets and noticeable curls with type 3 to even 4A hair. I do not think other hair types can see or understand how 4C women are underrepresented. They just tend to feel that all of us should be able to relate the same way because none of us have straight or wavy hair. True as that may be, 4C women see the difference between our hair texture and the more acceptable hair textures. If some, if not many of them could admit that there is a divide when it comes to what many define as more beautiful hair textures, then the natural hair community may possibly be more peaceful upon the examination of what people define as a considerably beautiful "afro textured type hair" versus a not so attractive "afro textured type hair".

I agree but,.. surely the routine is more about your hair being porous than being 4c. I found you advice help for my porous hair and I certainly have some great take away advice. Thank you.

Exactly like my hair. Ever since I started following this method, I like my hair. Also I prefer to moisturize my hair in the bathroom, rather than using the spray bottle.

I love how real your videos are! Glad to see another genuine 4c natural, who is also lazy (just like me) out in these streets lol. I feel like lately youtube been finding me actual 4c people to watch and I'm here for it ❤!

I am amazed by the small amount of shedded hair. My hair is triple or more of that with every process(wash, moisturizing, twisting, all).

"Oils will not moisturize your hair..." 😥 me feeling EXPOSED lmao!!! I decided on a whim to stop getting relaxers and just go natural before I had the chance to look into how to maintain my hair. Thank you for the video. I still have a LOT to learn.

11:11 I’m on month 3 of my journey and so in love! I can’t wait until my fro sprouts to your length. I had locs for about 5 years they were down my back I did the big chop because at the time I wasn’t living right and hair ( antennas) hold energy! Also I noticed my locs damaged my edges from the weight and styled castor oil and time grew my edges back 💗💗

This is the first video I found two weeks ago on how to moisturizer my dry 4c hair an when I say I’m sooooo happy I found this video I’m beyond happy. I did all steps except for the oil an when I tell you the small amount of shedded hair I have OMG 🥰🥰 Jen hun thank you. Now to get some hang time lol

Thank you so much Jenn for this tutorial. My hair is very similar to your hair, tight coils w/major shrinkage. I shaved my head bald the day after New Year’s to begin my natural hair journey and started consistently using hair oils and massaging my scalp to stimulate growth. However I’ve been suffering from patchy breakage. I realize recently that I’ve been ignoring the moisturizing portion of my hair routine so finding this video has given me some tools to repair the damage I’ve done to my hair. Thanks again, peace & blessings.

If you drink at least eight glasses of water per day, your hair will definitely not be crunchy. Moisturizing from the inside is the best way to moisturize. Then, you can follow these techniques to add and seal in more moisture. Btw, your hair is so thick and beautiful! I am 4C too; contrary to popular belief, our hair is as easy to care for as any other texture, as you just demonstrated. So glad I found you! ♥️♥️

Thanks for sharing your moisturizing routine with the viewers as this was extremely helpful for me. My hair gets dry as well and I’m always looking for new and improved ways to add moisture to my tresses. I’ve been washing it a lot which I need to stop doing but I’m obsessed with clean hair that smells nice.

Find a good balance. If you watch a lot, find a gentle shampoo and also moisturize and seal afterwards ❤️

Perfect video! You educated and shared really great information. I learned more in your short video than watching 10 others that just talk or who don’t demonstrate. And you focused strictly on haircare. I will immediately create the little “concoction “ you shared. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! P. S. Your hair is absolutely gorgeous!
