I see so many people using Quick Detailer the wrong way! Quick Detailer is very helpful but it is not a waterless wash solution. So what do you use Quick Detailer for then.... This video shows you my favorite way to use products like Gyeon Quick Detailer and CarPro Elixer.

100% dry towel. You can spray the quick detailer into the towel once or twice too. This towel was brand new and very soft. Some people like a wet towel to reduce scratch risk but in my opinion a towel that needs to be wet to not scratch is simply not soft enough to be in the paint in first place. Best practice. Replace drying towels when they feel a bit rough. Then turn those into wheel or interior towels

Wait this guy only has 1.4k subs? This was by far the most informative detailing wash video I’ve seen. I appreciate your effect in making videos, very high quality. I also have a question. We use IGL ceramic coatings at my work but I can’t purchase them for my personal vehicle because it’s not available to the public. What would you recommend for me and a good quick detailer for the ceramic after washes. I’ve looking into Car Pro Uk3.0 but unsure. Thanks !

I get this a lot!!! Lol. The best thing you can do as a fan to help us grow is to obviously subscribe... But more importantly share a video you enjoy on your FB or screenshot it and out it in a insta story. More awareness gets us views and subs. IGL makes a decent coating no doubt. But gtechniq makes the best coatings in the game right now. It's what I put on every car for paint ceramic. I used it on the chiron and p1... Check those videos out if you haven't seen them!! My store statusdetailstore.com has just about every product I use available for you to buy and ship to your door👍 I would buy crystal serum light and too it with exo. You can put exo back on every 6 months or every year as maintenance and to really keep everything healthy. Maintenance Sprays are going to be carpro reload, gyeon cure, gyeon ceramic Detailer. Gyeon wetcoat or carpro hydro light are also wonderful as they are spray and rinse so they work great on every exterior surface and are effortless to put on. You only need one of the above listed sprays but in a perfect world I'd run wetcoat after washes every month or so and cure or ceramic detailer as your maintenance quick detailer sprays. Thank you for watching and hope to see you around the comments 👍 lots of videos on my channel you will love.

The regular gyeon quick detailer, as you used, does it mask the hydrophobic properties of a coating or gyeon wax ?
@STATUSDETAIL
@STATUSDETAIL 2 жыл бұрын
It does not mask it at all. More like the ceramic might actually reject it a little. Meaning it's a nice way to dry a car while keeping the surface more pure for your application of cure or q2 wax or cancoat etc. Normal gyeon quick detailer definitely adds some hydrophobic protection. But if your after water beading then you want ceramic detailer or cure. I use this quick detailer when I dry a car I'm going to ceramic coat or polish because I definitely don't need to add a ceramic based wax to just immediately remove it and have the polish or compound contending with cure etc. Quick detailer is also inexpensive! So if you drive to cars and coffee and your ceramic coated car drives over a wet spot on a otherwise dry day. This is a great product to spray on and wipe off to clean everything up.

Good information. There is definitely a lot of confusion and murkiness in the water when it comes to quick detailers. The problem is that most of them are just watered down product of something else that particular company sells and they then market it as a quick detailer. What's your holy grail of quick detailers? I still swear by Griot's Speed Shine and also their Ceramic Speed Shine. That stuff works well as a final buff or spruce up product!

@@STATUSDETAIL Thankyou for your response and also your answers. That is very helpful. I have yet to try Gyeon Cure but every detailer that uses it, swears by it. That's the next topper on my list or "drying aide", whichever you want to call it. Sealant or Coating "extenders" I guess is the correct term now days. One that I really like lately is NV Car care Nova JET sealant. That stuff is incredible. Very hydrophobic and can be used on all exterior surfaces and leaves great durability. I use that every so often along with their LUSTRE and then maintain it weekly with NV Car Care BOOST. Then I hit it again the following month with JET. You can literally keep it going forever probably if you didn't need to polish every year or two in between. Very good combo for a person who doesn't want to put a ceramic coating on their vehicle but want the gloss and hydrophobics of a coating. You just need to apply it more often than a coating but I am ok with that because I like working on my sports car anyway. Now for a daily, ceramic coating all the WAY!
@STATUSDETAIL
@STATUSDETAIL 14 сағат бұрын
@@joevanseeters2873 One of the great pros of PPF. If you have a nice system for maintenance and washing and you basically can keep a hydrophobic ceramic state on a car indefinitely. And if you're treating the film right it really shouldn't stop self healing ever unless you're relying on that factor and then it's doing it too often to the point where that effect can wear off. Having a great maintenance system and some kind of ceramic base wax or sealant to reapply is crucial. Lots of great products out there I'm sure many of which I'm not even aware of. All you have to do is find what works for you and stick to it 👍

You did a few short sprays of the quick detailer on the hood....not fully covering the area then immediately sprayed off. How does this method give you full coverage virsus possibly doing gentle passes with a dedicated microfibre cloth ?

Product's like this don't need to be sprayed into the full surface area of the panel.. this thought process is common with products like bead maker but not eith products like this. You can spray the towel and then mist the panel too if your more comfortable with that. Or a few just into your towel. Less is typically more with gyeon products 👍

@@STATUSDETAIL Awesome thanks!! I also got ceramic coating done on my car professionally. It's been 24 hours and all of a sudden the next day it rained very lightly and is it okay for me to use deionized water to rinse off the car clean with standing still rain water on my car? The deionized water has 0ppm and leaves no water spots
@STATUSDETAIL
@STATUSDETAIL Ай бұрын
@@Endorion_YTC if it cured 24 hours and just normal rain got on it then that's not a huge deal. Rain water is basically purified. Unless your under a tree or something. Rinsing won't do much. If you felt it's excessively dirty and like staining with water spots or dirty water spots. Then I would think you could do wash with slightly more diluted soap than you would typically do. But if it's not horribly dirty and doesn't have crazy water spots or anything I would probably give it another day or two and then do a very light wash. Tricky situation. I don't know what products are on your car or if they put any products to release the car like car pro release for example. If I knew it had release on it then I would just wash it. If it's your daily driver and it's parked outside then I wouldn't worry about it too much if it's here Ferrari you drive one time a month then I would understand the urge to want to clean it one day after the ceram coating if it was dirty. But generally speaking I would say do your best to wait a couple days Rinsing alone is a dangerous game. A water softener helps a bunch of course. But in case something slips through the cracks there you could potentially be water spotting the entire car and or door jams.

@STATUSDETAIL
@STATUSDETAIL Жыл бұрын
If I understand the question correctly then you would basically do a appropriate wash for the car then on your drying phase you would use gyeon cure or carpro reload instead of quick detailer. Carpro actually has reload 2.0.coming out in next month or so. I'll be doing a video on that as soon as I can get it! Wetcoat and hydro lite both work great on ceramic coated cars too. But technically speaking you can use gyeon quick detailer on ceramic coated cars. It would make more sense to use there ceramic quick detailer tho. Or cure/reload. Hope that helps!

I found a ton of value in it Evan. Thank you very much. Someone asked me about wiping dew off their car in the morning. What would you suggest? Could you just use a drying aid or quick detailer to do that job? Assuming the car is fairly clean. Thanks 😊
@STATUSDETAIL
@STATUSDETAIL 2 жыл бұрын
That's a very good question! If the car was cleaned as shown in video. Parked outside 24hours and you had morning dew you could certainly use a quick detailer with a drying towel. This gets tricky as we hypothetically make the car more dirty. If it looks fairly dirty then the morning dew is not the problem. The dirt is. So treating the problem would mean Washing it.

Most of us dont have a nice blower system and resort to leaf blowers etc. You had that car mostly dry before using the quick detailer. My question is, can i eliminate the blower and just spray the Gyeon quick detailer on a mostly wet car before toweling ? Im guessing it will get diluted too much to gloss up ?
@STATUSDETAIL
@STATUSDETAIL 27 күн бұрын
Leaf blower is totally a great idea. You can get a corded leaf blower on Amazon for like 50 bucks and it'll be pretty powerful. You can definitely spray quick detailer onto the car and then used large drying towels. You will need a good amount of towels because they will fill up with water relatively quickly. Anytime you spray a product like that into a very very wet panel you're going to be diluting it down. You can also just do one more fast pass on the car when it's dry. Good question and I hope this is an answer that is helpful!

@@STATUSDETAIL By the way your video on how to maintain a ceramic coating was the most straight forward eye opening video I have ever seen. I recently learned how to detail and do paint correction. Your video helped me tremendously how to help maintain my wife's 2022 X7 we got ceramic coated January 2022. As far as rain type road grime or that dirt on the lower panels after a lot of winter rain, do you think Carpro Reset is sufficient or do I need to bump up my pre wash to the Gyeon Foam you mentioned in this video?
@STATUSDETAIL
@STATUSDETAIL 2 ай бұрын
@@chrisginoc I'm glad it was helpful! It might be time to make a revised version of that video with some updated products. If you're washing consistently like say one time a week then reset is probably enough because it's not building up and staying in the car long enough to cause problems. If it's the winter time and you're maybe washing every 3 weeks or 4 weeks and it is building up and it's building up with salt and nasty garbage from winter then yeah foam or Lift from car pro is an excellent decision. I'd also be reapplying wet coat or hydro after every wash if it's been a few weeks since your previous wash.

How often would you use a quick detailer on the car after a wash - like after every wash or once in a while?
@STATUSDETAIL
@STATUSDETAIL 2 жыл бұрын
Either or. The main idea is to use quick detailer to assist with anything we miss after the wash. Little extra lubrication and adds gloss and protection. I tend to spray my drying towel 2-3 times and basically dry the full car after air drying. You can also air dry the entire car and apply something like cure after every wash. Nothing wrong with that besides it cost money. You can use nothing after wash especially if you use hydro lite or wetcoat when the car is clean but still wet. Those are wet application products. So lots of options!
