Thanks very much! My lower hinge broke and I really didn't want to call in someone to repair it. I ordered the part direct from Samsung for about $5 and with your video was able to replace it in about 15 minutes. You saved me time and money!!

Video was great and helpful. if you can’t get the sleeve out for the spring grab a pair of tweezers. Pay attention to which way you put the spring back in I didn’t notice the bent side until I put it in wrong but rewind the video and saw my mistake thanks for saving me money on fixing my door.

Are the top and bottom hinges the same part? If not, what's the part number for the bottom hinge? Do you have the model number for a replacement spring and sleeve that goes with the bottom hinge? Thank you. Great video!

Great Video, but what about the center hinge?... Renter broke the center and bottom hinge.. I haven't started the job yet..just ordered the center (which is called "Cover-Heater" for some reason, but according to the exploded view, it surely is the center hinge...

I have a brand new Samsung French door refrigerator, it’s about 2 months old and the divider does not close by itself. The refrigerator is level. The book states that the left door is fixed so I can’t raise it up so it will catch in the track. Any suggestions?

I replaced the bottom left door hinge because the door is sagging causing the middle flap to not close. However, replacing the hinge didn't fix the issue. What could cause this door to sag?

@ryk12652 жыл бұрын
Why on earth would you disassemble the mullion flapper itself when you can just unscrew the middle hinge, disconnect the molex wire connector and slide up the mullion, lay it on a flat surface to avoid dropping and missing those tiny parts? Are you a glutton for punishment? 😆

Samsung tiene muchos modelos de refrigeradores. Cuidado al ordenar, porque para devolver es un problema.Asegúrece de ordenar la pieza correcta.
@robvaus3 ай бұрын
my good people I did it, and thanks BUT the door now when I close it, and then I open it again, the flap (not sure how to call it) doesn't stay by with the door but it attempts to close and remains opens So the door can't be close again unless you put the flap back to its position manually
@appliancepartspros3 ай бұрын
You will need to double check the installation of the part and check the flap for other damaged parts.
@donaldbrigham90654 жыл бұрын
There’s no way I could possibly do the hinge replacement that you just showed me in this video. I am not a “handy man”. Why do they have such “flimsy” plastic hinges on a $4500 refrigerator. Insulation? My miltonian flap does not close properly.
@samscott544 жыл бұрын
That's flipper , not a french door.... The part is called a flipper , if someone is looking for one.... sorry if Im misunderstanding your terminology.... thanks for the video
@mrrobvs4 жыл бұрын
This is the most ridiculous way to do this repair. There are better instructions on here. There are two screws holding that flipper to the door. Unscrew them. Then pop off the clips and change the french hinge. All this prying is absolutely bizarre. It's like taking the tires off the wheels to change the brake pads.
@androxavanti3 жыл бұрын
This is a different model, there are no screws. If you watch the video carefully you'll see there are just two plastic stoppers - that's how my fridge looks
@mrrobvs3 жыл бұрын
@@androxavanti those “stoppers” are plastic screw covers. They pop right off and reveal two Philips head screws. Unscrew them. There is no prying or complete disassembly of the flipper unit required like in this video. KZbin search for “remove Samsung flipper” and watch a video or two where you will see you just pop off screw cover (some doesn’t even have it) and do the replacement. This video remains the worst source for a simple repair.
