Do you have a video where you use this cheaper version on a coupe? I would think you still need the roof section nd all supports and the rear deck parts, etc. What type of money do you actually save going this route?

We actually use these on all of our coupes except for 65-66 . Yes there are other parts you do need. This is just to save around a grand on your side assembly. You can pm us on Instagram or Facebook and we can help

Any idea if a 64.5 can be made into a fastback? I understand there are some differences in 64.5-65 and the 66 models, I just don't know if any of that has to do with the body
@lostsocketgarage2 жыл бұрын
Yes it can be. It is just the parts are a bit more. 65 ,66,69,70 only come in pre welded from dynacorn. So it's a bit more. But can be done

If it's actually a 64.5, it is worth FAR more as a coupe. If it's a 65 (as most claimed 64.5 cars are,) then have at it!
@HedgehogOutdoors2 жыл бұрын
@@Eric-hk5hz it definitely is a 64.5, had the vin checked. I have given up on the idea of a fastback conversion for it, so no worries there. Finally got it yanked out of the woods a few days ago, ready to be put onto a trailer and torn apart

Is it possible to convert a 67 convertible to a fastback? I've never seen such a build on the internet.
@lostsocketgarage5 ай бұрын
Yes it is. Actually from a structural standpoint it is better. Conv. come with both torque boxes in 67 and a thicker gauger floor. The reason most people don't convert a convertible is because they are normally a bit more spendy than a coupe.

It’s not so easy as It looks. Measurements and welding are quite easy. The problem is most parts you buy is a gambling when unboxing. Get 3 same parts and neither one is the same size, corners, bends , etc. You have to reshape everything. That’s a hell of a job and time for fitment. Do you really save money ?!? and are you skilled for it ?!? Lots of projects are abandoned.
@lostsocketgarage Жыл бұрын
It's hard definitely. Dynacorn so far has been the best for parts. Real consistent as far as shape and measurements . However there are definitely always things you have to do to get fitment correct. We've done a ton and we still get hung up sometimes. But hopefully on this channel we can make it a bit easier for others to do.
