I saw an interview with the singer Morrissey (of the Smiths). He railed against Diversity. He made the point that Diversity=Conformity. If you visit Italy, you want to see Italian culture, he said. If you visit Germany, you want to see German culture. The Diversity champions want everywhere to be the same.

At 64 (tomorrow!!!), I'm roughly a year younger than Morrissey. I've followed him and been a massive fan since I was 24. He says some profound stuff, and I agree with everything he says. Multi-culturalism doesn't work at all. The trouble is, the new foreigners are very arrogant, and most have no intention of paying in for anything, but expect everything for nothing. It's of course, been exasperated by our leaders, who think more of them than us indigenous people. There'll be a civil war anytime now, because it's now us or them. Over my live body will it be them.

I doubt though it's going to result in anything other than a Labour landslide and Sir Keir getting his turn to be PM until THEY aka the real masters of this world decide who will be installed next as the public face. It's the same deal in France, Germany, the states, Canada, Australia. The people will be ignored and the destruction will continue in all these countries.

The Daily Mail journalist Andrew Alexander wrote an article about the British political class titled, "This PLAGUE of Pundits Claiming to Speak for You" in which he said "it's not only that their policies are not in line with the wishes of the electorate but they are diametrically opposed to them". He mentioned an unprecedented tide of migration destroying Britain in the article. In 1981.

We who lived in rural areas and were of an age took no notice of the lockdown rules. There is a reservoir of freedom left in this country but it resides in the heads of the baby boomers. We grew up in central London where you could park your car anywhere and they were just introducing parking meters in some places. No yellow lines. No mobile phones [not against them but just saying] no cctv, almost no restrictions [there were one way streets in some places]. Imaging carrying that kind of freedom in your head. Now we live rurally and to some extent can carry on regardless. The 'in head freedom' informs what we do and what we will put up with. Hard to describe to those who have never had it.

@deelondon1336 In the early 1900s, there were a handful of small socialist parties. They all had broadly similar ideas, but disagreed on specific aspects of what the way forward was. None of them could make any headway against the dominant Tory and Whig parties. It was only when they began to put their differences aside and began to amalgamate that they got their first MPs elected under the name of Labour Representation Committee, the predecessor of the Labour Party. We have today a similar situation in which there are a handful of patriotic nationalist parties with broadly similar ideas, and who seem unable to make any headway against the dominant Tory and Labour parties. The solution would seem to be the same as it was a century ago - these parties should put aside any differences they may have and amalgamate.

I think the next election needs a wide coalition of those with our views. Maybe a few disillusioned Tory MPs could defect beforehand. Call it an Alliance for Britain or something like that, and get all the smaller parties onboard just for this election. Proportional representation will be a game changer if it happens, but until then the only way is trying to get seats in parliament. Thats very difficult, but if all the small parties could be supportive of two or three basic messages, and organise their supporters, it could achieve some success.

The umbrella party needs to be called RESTORE UK with the slogan: RECLAIM the power, REFORM the laws, RESTORE our HERITAGE and our nation. Or...just accept that the SDP is the right answer and rebrand them. The UK, the version that we want it to be, is a high trust, law abiding nation which is industrious, adventurous, ardent, ambitious and creative....many of these adjectives were once the name of Royal Navy ships....that is a good starting point for how we define ourselves.

You would need to severely curtail social media for the young, institute some kind of national civic service for all people, invest in energy, industry, farming and move away from banking as the big national earner. In other words it's not going to happen. By the time politics catches up with the transformation of this country, the revered British culture will be preserved solely in some KZbin archive footage - where you can watch and gasp at the genteel manners, self deprecation and eccentricity of the inhabitants. When the nation's Ministers blatantly create situations like non stop supported illegal immigration, a constnant raft of changing policies that promote anti British rules that suits foreigners, the national infrastructures are purposely under funded, taxpayers money more likely to be spent on the needs of immigrants before British needy people, the police is more willing to support immigrants views than the view of the British, the education system is run by those employed because of their fit to DEI before their education, training and experience, then how the hell and who the hell can possibly make any appropriate changes?

Thankyou for pointing this out. I have observed this myself for some years now, but seem to be alone. The idea that we do not produce sufficient electricity for ourselves, and are reliant on importing from France seems to be absurd, but is nevertheless true. If France were ever to reach a point where they did not have a surplus of electricity to sell, or if they wished to extract some political price from the UK, we would be without sufficient electricity. The same is true in the other areas you mention.

It actually does not. It needs a ground roots cultural revival to rebuild what has fallen, and in ways the English never, ever, did. There is a reason CANZUK was touted as an Anglosphere in some circles. The key problem, is the last culture with the kind of links needed, was taken out by the Normans. The key culture that is rightfully supposed to inhabit the land is the Welsh one, since it is the Ancient Breton Celtic that predates the Romans, and fought every invasion and settlement over the centuries.

Evan was onto to something--though while I don't think Evan was doing this here I want to say I don't like anyone giving advice or talking down to British people (and am not doing that here rather taking anything I say as much or more for my country Canada) as few countries have more things to their credit than Britain--and Evan was also serving as a true Canadian should as a bridge between the two most populous members of the English-speaking world, bringing up the Americans and their relative success in storming various ideological beaches, not necessarily success changing the dominant, entrenched forces in the political or economic system in their country yet, but whether Texas staying Republican despite the forces of all hell trying to turn it into a third-world hellhole, the elevation of Johnson to the Speakership of the House, good people not being afraid to be arrested. A secret to the Americans' success is they can be rude, aren't afraid of confrontation and in fact rather like it. Englishmen used to be like that and can again. No shortage of evil to stand up against. Teach lil' Englishmen (and lil' Canadians) to grow up to act like Sir Francis Drake. And anyone in office like Elizabeth I, or even better Henry VIII. Thus England (and Canada) to new glories will sail. Nathan Manning, Vancouver, BC, Canada

The Supreme Court must be abolished, along with the Scottish and Welsh Assembly. Actually, England should declare independence from the UK. And the Bank of England should lose its independence or be abolished altogether.

No, that would be disastrous. Do that, and the Scottish and Welsh will do one of two things; either turn on you, and walk from you. Or, turn on you and join those that are destroying you. They have the historical right to act in that fashion, and they know precisely how to eliminate you, since they have been warring with you off and on for centuries, if not thousands of years. Then is what the Northern Irish will act in that situation. When you include the Northern Irish, you only stopped fighting them 25 years ago. The British Isles collectively has only seen full peace for 25 years. The rest of that 5000 years? Constant fighting for control of all that exists within the Isles, and very small periods of peace in between all of those conflicts. with political scheming to prepare for the next war campaign.

My question is, notwithstanding what has already been discussed, has the proverbial horse bolted in the context of mass immigration? Are the barbarians already pulling the levers of power? Serious question.

Scotland is possibly a harbinger of what is to come. Under the SNP, the First Minister is Pakistani. Scotland is traditionally Labour territory, and if they revert to form, the First Minister will be Indian. Are they pulling the levers of power? Yes, now and after the opposition wins an election. How long before the rest of the country follows suit?

Europeans coming to UK self-described themselves as European till they went home where they were whatever ethnicity or cultural background/language etc. However, British people at home were referred to by Europeans as European, not British, which was seen as unwelcoming.

The UK is in rapid decline, disintegrating (like other western European countries). The decline will be accelerated with a Labour Government whose MPs are more concerned with the welfare of sub Saharan countries like Sudan and promoting radical Islam. Dissenting voices are supressed. If you are young and/or able the solution is to get out of the UK

When listening to British commentators, I am often frustrated by their habit of talking endlessly about a problem without getting down to concrete strategies for *action.* C'mon guys, what happened to the people who conquered the world's oceans? As Chris Rufo says, "Commentary is just hot air if you don't move the needle and get *wins* up on the scoreboard."

Example of what is in trouble and a sign of rot: the state of the armed forces, and the way that recruitment has been a mess. We don't even have enough sailors to crew all the ships in commission. What I find astonishing is the lack of political noise about this. A century ago, it would have been all over the front pages. For an island nation, given the current threats to sea lanes and merchant shipping, this is a grave situation. But I see little general recognition in the media/political world that this is a problem.
