How to Save Money on Warhammer in 2024! (Hobby on a Budget)

In this video we are going to be taking a look at How to Save Money on Warhammer with my Top Hobby Money Saving Tips for 2024!
Playing Warhammer 40k on a budget, or any of the other games made by Games Workshop can be a challenge, especially in 2024. With all of the incredible high quality miniatures, hobby tools, paints, rules and accessories it all adds up! But there are a lot of great ways to save money collecting Warhammer in order to keep the prices down. From Discount added value boxes like Combat Patrol or Vanguard, to magazines from Hachette Partworks, a bit of patience and of course all of the hobby tools you need. Definitely some big savings to be made there!
Hopefully there is enough here to get you started on saving a few more pennies when collecting this hobby, even if you end up just buying more models with the savings!

If you can resist, then don’t open any new purchases until you are about to use them. Sealed boxes in your pile of shame/potential will sell for more than opened ones.

Thats a great shout! To be fair if you did buy them from games workshop and kept them sealed and the receipt they will end up allowing you to swap them later on down the line. Even after the typical refund period.

Guys if you have loads of Vallejo paints sitting around, STOP BUYING MACRAGGE BLUE! Use 9 parts dark Prussian blue, 3 parts white, 2 neutral gray. You can add 3 parts white for highlights and 3 more parts white for edge highlights. Dark Prussian blue can also be used for Librarians, Vallejo white isn’t crap like Cidatel, and neutral gray is useful for lots of models

With the AoS inclusions could we hope to see some AoS videos in thr future?

It’s a game that I’m just getting into myself with a cities of Sigmar army (Tahlia was literally the fastest purchase I’ve ever made!), but making content for it may well be something I look into come the new edition release in the summer. Or just beforehand. I’ll keep everyone updated on that. I love the models as they have so much more creativity and character so it won’t be a hard sell for me to get more involved. Which army do you currently collect/play?

@@TheCommandPhase I play Kharadron Overlords, I love the steampunk aesthetic and that type of playstyle in AoS is so unique it's always a blast for me to play them. I was really tempted to go Votann when they came out so I could double down on dwarfs

Oh awesome, that’s a great looking range! Not sure how they play, but I can totally understand the lure of them from a hobby perspective. I’ve got far too many Votann on my painting desk as I couldn’t resist them. They’re a pretty fun force to play too right now which helps. Definitely no harm in doubling down on dwarves 👍

There are aspects of 3d printing I’m ok with, like terrain, bases and accessories like shoulder pads and decorations to make the models yours. Or if the models are no longer in production. But I certainly don’t advocate printing GW models that are currently in production. Proxying other companies models in your own games is totally up to you though 👍
