Thanks for the great video. I have a 1 ton LG dual inverter, the top model with WiFi. It has the same energy control feature. However, the power consumption nevrt drops even when 40% is chosen. I can monitor power consumption via a Sonoff as well as on LG app and it remains the same. Even on cool days regardless of whether the selected template is set to 30 or 20. Overall the ac 8s wonderful and it automatically drops down to as low as 200 Watts on its own but the energy control feature does not seem to work.

I have two LG A.Cs in one of my flat which I purchased in 2004 is still working . LG products have long life . I have Washing machine and TV of LG since more than 10 years all are working fantastic. You forgot to mention when you r A.C . Cooling is not proper there are two reasons:- 1. Not cleaning of indoor & out door units you call it evaporator and condenser unit . 2. Or Freon gas is low .

Thanks for sharing this informative video! I was fortunate to get free cleaning service with my AC included in the warranty period but my mom's AC hasn't been cleaned for over a year and I'm thinking it's best we just clean it out and save ourselves the money to buy food! I wasn't able to watch what they were doing outside and if they were just spraying water on the condenser surely it's a simple thing to do... Thanks again, knowledge is power!

Its as simple as spraying water on the condenser and that will knock most of the dirt out, as for the indoor unit, i always suggest calling an expert because its not always easy to take the the indoor unit apart. I'm glad the video was helpful 😊

Bro we feel very chilled when the ac is on 30 degree Celsius, so in the initial period we set the fan to maximum and after the room is cooled, we set it to lowest, is that okay?
@Damien1_1
@Damien1_1 2 жыл бұрын
Absolutely. I too operate my ac at 30 with varying fan speeds. 30 (at 40% capacity) will get your room temp to 27-28, which is fine. And the units that run up are very low this way. About 2 units/12 hrs

Excellent video, keep up the good job! I have a question regarding the Energy Ctrl feature. So if I reduce the power to 60% and set the temperature to 24 degrees, and it actually manages to keep the room temperature there, so everyone should rather run it on 60%, why use 100% power ever? Or am I getting all this wrong? Thanks in advance.
@TechGuyCharlie
@TechGuyCharlie 5 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I almost always keep mine at 60% power with the fan on medium-high, that is for May and June from July onwards I keep it at 40% fan speed low-medium depending on how hot it is outside Now, of course, it takes a little longer to cool the room because AC is not running at 100% power but the thing is, the power consumption is less and I do save on my electric bill. Watch this video, I've done an energy consumption test to see how many watts does the AC pull at different power levels: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qKDOin-gptZ6d9U
@umangdayal
@umangdayal 5 жыл бұрын
So for maximum savings what is the recommended energy ctrl we should keep. Is it 40% or 60% or 80%?
@xenonxm
@xenonxm 5 жыл бұрын
@@umangdayal from my personal usage experience, the energy control is just like power. Just like a car, A two litre engine would accelerate to 60km/h way faster than 1 litre engine. Once both running at 60km/h, the power factor is not relevant any more. So the AC would cool faster in full power than 40%, but once the temperature is attained it doesn't matter anymore. More power usage means more electricity initiall, then it flats out.

I am facing one issue with my dual inverter ac. My AC is 2 years old. Previously I noticed my AC is not cooling down once the room temperature is attained. Earlier if suppose the room temp of 24 is acquired, AC used to throw some fan air so that the condenser can cool down. This is what we call inverter technology right ? But from few days it is continuously cooling the room even if the required temp is attained. Is there any issue with the AC or is it normal ? Earlier my total electricity unit that used to get consumed by using AC at 24 degrees was around 2-3 kWh for 8 hours at night from 12 to morning 8. But now it is going till 5. Please reply my quiet if possible.

Hey dude, I just wanted to ask that whether I should buy an ac (4 star 4.2 iseer) in 2020 or not because from 1st january 2021 iseer rating are going to change and all 4 star ac will become 3 star and 5 star will become 4 star...Only ACs rated 5.0 iseer or more will be rated 5 star. So will the AC's price will get cheaper when it will be sold with 3 star rating further???? Or I can get more efficient ac for same cost....?(I'm willing to wait) Kindly share your thoughts over this as I'm damn sure about the ratings which I've got from bee website...

@TechGuyCharlie Жыл бұрын
Hey Hawah, Its normal for AC to use extra energy in Jet Mode, as it runs everything at 120% power. If you feel the AC isn't cooling enough, get it checked by a qualified technician or get the coils cleaned, or it might be that the AC is undersized, in this case, get a bigger unit, it will run quieter and last longer and even cool better.

I live in Mumbai and in monsoon outdoor temperature is around 27 deg cel at night.... I keep my ac at 26 with full fan speed. Ceiling fans turned off. My room size is 120 Sq ft. After 10 hours of usage my electricity units consumed are 2.3 to 2.5 kwh. Is this Ok ? Or turning on ceiling fans saves more electricity ? Do reply all my queries or provide me with your suggestions if any. Thanks Charlie in advance

Your nighttime energy consumption is quite normal, you should check my recent video on this topic: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aaPZm5ewgKh_iLs For monsoons, I usually keep the AC fan on low speed, that way you get better de-humidification, but it really depends on the size of the room, for big rooms, high fan speed is the best. As for the ceiling fan, it's more of a personal choice, I prefer using the ceiling fan because it makes me feel more comfortable and helps spread cold air evenly throughout the room. I hope this helps, if you have any question, always feel free to ask. 😊
