Hi!! Thanks for the lesson! this time, the joke was really easy to understand. Examples - my ancient car broke down in 2005 when i was on summer holiday; - sometimes in the kitchen, a glass of tea is cracked and a mug of porcelain get shattered; - After using a hammer to fixe some piece, we got dents in the wood; - my friend busted his cellphone three times this year. - in 1968, fortunately there was not a building that had collapsed in Casablanca's earthquake.

Hey Mark!!! I hope you're doing great!!!😎😎😎👍👍👍 Alright, let's get crackin'!!! 😁 If I see your face and hear the airplane sound, I definitely know I'm at the right place "my beloved METV"!!! 👍👍👍 I've already known all these words and phrases, aside from "malfunctioning", but I didn't know the slight differences in meaning and usage so clearly, which it applies to consider thereby!!! These things only a native speaker can teach you!!! Thank you so much, dear Mark, for this most useful lesson!!!👍👍👍 I'm wondering which of these words I'd have to chose if I wanted to say that, with every storm, I hope my very old roof doesn't just fly away??? 😁😁😁 (fall apart, shatter) 🤔🤔🤔 What do you think??? It's unbelievable that former developed high cultures, as the Romans or the ancient Greeks, could collaps just like that!!! I mean, at the time when the Romans already had thermal baths, sewerage systems and cobbled streets, we "Teutons" (ordinary barbarians) 😉😉😉 were still living in wooden cabins in the middle of deep forests, on the eastern part of the Rhine border!!! 555!!!😁😁😁 Last but not least, a short joke in the matter of "collapsing" 😉!!! What happens when you're drinking "Cola/Coke" and "Bier/beer" at the same time??? Man "ColaBiert"!!! (You'll collapse!!!) Oh my gosh, it's so hard to translate this kind of jokes understandable!!! Did you get it, all the same??? Have a nice day in Thailand!!! Take care, my friend!!!🙋‍♀️
@MadEnglishTV
@MadEnglishTV 4 жыл бұрын
Hi! 😃😃Thanks! Hmm, I think "fly away" is best if it's windy! If it's snowing heavily, it might be good to say "cave in". Haha, "ordinary barbarians" is a great description! Maybe I should adopt that title for myself. I'm a libertarian barbarian. Does libertarianism exist in German politics? I think my political views most closely match libertarianism. Ron Paul is a famous libertarian politician in the US. In Canada, the closest thing we have is the PPC (which I voted for). I guess there aren't many libertarian barbarians in the land of ice and snow. Lol, yes I get the joke! That's great! Have a fun day in Germany!
