How did you get this to work without enabling the SMB protocol on the PC? Windows 10 disabled this protocol by default. I have a IR500if adv. Even after following your instruction and enabling SMB I still cannot scan to the desktop.

Thanks a lot!! you make my day with this video. However, in the computer management i cannot see the "local users and groups" folder. I had to go to another video to check how to create a user following another procedure. Is there something not activated in my PC that is preventing the system to show me that folder?

You may have the base version of windows 10 which is called windows S. You can switch to windows 10 home for free and will show up.

Thank You Thank You Thank You. I knew there must be a permission issue, making a new user with administrator privileges made this work. One thing i noticed was, on the printer interface I was using \\Computer\ instead of coping it off the computer property page, No slashes. If your almost bald from messing with this, follow the video exactly, stop the video for every section and do it on the computer.

i moved the Scan folder into a new drive on my computer and now i cant access it. tried to make a new folder (on the local drive) and not scanning at all -- pls help

I setup everything as same but still not seeing scan file in shared folder, before it was working but last time windows updated after that I am unable to use "scan to folder" feature, please help

Do you have any antivirus software if you do disable it. Also, disable windows firewall while testing.
