@@ssbudda33 You posted several comments about the club throw being a "bad look", but I like that he left the club throw in the video. He could have easily edited that out of the video, but he left it in to show us that he loses his cool now and then, but then you have to put it behind you and play through it. I know from my experience with golf that it is essential to develop the ability to play through frustration and disappointment.

Adam- I used some of your course management tips you often provide on your videos and shot the best round of my life at this particular course in my city that in all honesty, I’ve never been able to break 90 on. I eliminated all the hero shots I’m so prone to taking after a bad drive (and I had plenty yesterday 😮) tried my hardest to avoid carding big numbers & carded an 81. So far that is my low round for 2023. Thanks again.

I watch all of your videos and I would contend that next to your putter your driver is your best club. Although I take no pleasure in it, it is encouraging to see a better golfer than I ( 10.5 handicap) for no apparent reason lose the ability to use a driver effectively. It's not just me. For about 5 weeks this summer I only used my 5-wood off the tee. Then one day I gave the driver a try on the range and I could suddenly hit it longish and straightish (which is good enough). BTW - a golfer that doesn't occasionally lose it over a bad shot is a golfer that doesn't care.

Another great vid Adam. I used to suffer the same low pull or high cut issue. I'd recommend tweaking your swing path to be slightly higher and less flat, it helped me eliminate alot of those chunks and thins out of play and provide some extra distance. Cheers

You definitely nailed why I can't get under a 20 handicap. 1 bad shot always turns into 3 and when mu scoring gets behind I never pick conservative targets which usually results in penalty strokes.
@ambientgolf2 жыл бұрын
We're around the same handicap but go about it in completely different ways. I'm a good ball striker with a decent short game and can't make a putt to save my life. You hit more bad shots than I do, but make every putt you look at. Golf is an interesting puzzle to try and solve! Love your vids :)

Best takeaway from this video: "It's hard to recover from a great drive". I had a couple of rounds this week that were just like this -- 10/14 drives, 4/18 GIR, 30% scrambling, 30 putts. Had two doubles on yesterday's card, which killed my round. I violated one of Matty's rules, "Never follow a bad shot with a stupid shot". I got to visiting too heavily with an airline pilot that was in our group, and it led to some horrible choices. Staying focused on your game plan is really critical to keeping the doubles off the card, and I'm finding that if I get too wrapped up in the social aspect of golf, it'll wreck my score. thanks for the video Adam!

This is perfect 👍🏻 My goal is (and has been for years) to be a single-digit handicap … JUST ONCE in my life! I got down to 11.3 last year, but it jumped to 12.4 this year. Here in northern Illinois/southern Wisconsin, we have a short season. Spring & Fall are NOT conducive to scoring, and it seems the courses we play are much more difficult than this course you’re playing. … Heavily wooded, VERY thick (penal) rough and more hazards 💦 Now we’re headed inside (into the X-Golf simulator) all winter. Time to work on my game and re-commit to that goal in the Spring. 🤞🏻 Good stuff 👍🏻 … keep up the good work

Thanks for the videos - enjoy all the content (except the club toss - but its a frustrating game - so i get it) I noticed your driver is way past parallel. is that typical? Adam, I grounded my driver and started flushing my 4 hybrid. Then one day I couldn’t hit the 4 hybrid dead straight 220 so I ungrounded the driver and low and behold started smashing the driver 270 middle of the fairway. Sadly the 4 hybrid is trash and I can’t seem to have both going at the same time.
@NotAScratchGolfer2 жыл бұрын
Brutal. For me, typically my wood/hybrid goes the same way as my driver. So if I'm having an off day with driver, my only real option is to go down to a 5-iron, which is a bad option in the Winter here when we get practically no rollout.
