Another way of making it a tab that you can move around in the oculus environment is when you have your desktop open in your oculus menu, grab it and pull it out using your controller. Hope this helps make it a bit easier! :)

Just a note, is that this is only aplicable to the Occulus Quest. Pretty much any other headset wouldn't even touch on the subject. However since he went through to specify the Occulus APP, yes it is kind of an odd detail to assume anyone with a Quest would have.

Yeah I'm totally lost. The only way I can get the Quest Link to work is from settings. I can find my chat and pin it, but the only way out of the Link it to close it. I can't access it any other way. I don't know if it's very different on a Quest 3 but this was the best video I've found so far.

Please, can I get some help? I am having MAJOR troubles with OVR toolkit. I play Ghosts of Tabor, and I do play through Steam in a way, as it gives me the option to play either steam or Oculus VR but I choose oculus, so I am not used to Steam VR. is there a way to get rid of the constant vibrations whenever I click the grip or tricker, even if I am grabbing nothing it is this subtle vibration. Also, it feels very jittery, like my (in-game) hands move randomly and I keep grabbing the windows (like stream chat) on my arm. I see other streamers use the OVR toolkit when playing Ghosts of Tabor, so I know it works with the game.

btw steamvr has an option to dock your screen onto your hand, and you can customize the position so you can make it face backwards so you have to face your hand the other way to see it, so it doesnt block anything in your game

@@thestrangeone12209 it’s built into steamVR, open the steamVR menu (left menu button if your on quest 2) and there should be a monitor icon to show your monitor, and then “dock on controller” and then on your monitor just display your twitch chat

This is using airlink. Yes there are additional methods. I'm not sure which is considered best but there are multiple methods of doing it nowadays. I still use this method overall or LIV a program you can download using sidequest or steam

Nope, not currently! You could try casting to like chrome using an extension that allows you to cast thing to it like you would your tv but that's about the only other option and it doesnt' work great most of the times. gotta use airlink to really capture vr well.

Oculus mirror works with airlink. That's how you capture with airlink. For airlink 5ghz is a must. But you can use a cable obviously which sucks but does let you capture much better. For casting, 5ghz is not required but it's less resolution versus airlink or cable using oculus mirror

Are you using your VR headset wirelessly? There's a couple things that helped me when it came to streaming. First and foremost since I was streaming wirelessly upgrading to a Wi-Fi 6 router helped extremely well like a lot. Also, if you normally stream using your nvenc chip in your Nvidia graphics card... Try using your CPU instead if it can handle it. Some games that are VR require more of your CPU and some require more of your GPU and sometimes it seems like games can affect the GPUs ability to encode while also doing VR.

Currently won’t work with TikTok live studio. With you get a blank screen or it doesn’t show up at all on the list of windows. Only work around I’ve seen is pinning desktop and cropping chat but then the yellow bounding box still is the size of the entire desktop. Its very frustrating!

There is a GitHub project where you can pull in your KZbin chat as well as like notifications like when people join the stream or share it or whatever or buy an item I can't remember the name of it though but you can download that and then capture that inside of it

I tried to copy this method to stream with my meta quest 2 but my layout is different from 4minutes 45seconds onward. I have a stock quest set up, is there anything additional that you did to get your interface to look like that? Yeah there is a way to pull out tiktok chat. It's a bit more complicated because tiktok doesn't natively allow it, however, the steps for actually showing it once you have a method of pulling out the tiktok chat, it's the same process as this video. I dont' have a video on how to do that, but basically there are apps on github that you can run that will pull comments from tiktok when you're streaming.

Hi, plese i need your help so badly, i pin the twitch chat as you say and when I leave the link (on the bottom menu i click on picture of glasses and then close) it returns me to oculus home and the chat is still there but it stitch to the oculus home menu bar(i can see it like broser window) but when i start the game (for example synth riders) the chat is not there in the game. When i pres oculus home button - i can see the chat stitched to the menu bar. Please plese could you help me? Thans a lot!

It sounds like you’re having a bit of a struggle with the chat setup! I recommend trying to re-pin the chat after launching the game. Sometimes toggling it on and off can help refresh the connection. Let me know if that works!

What I really want to know is how to play my twitch stream in a VRChat world; I want the world audio to be the audio from my stream and for my stream to be playing on a wall, TV, etc in the world. I'm a DJ and I want to start throwing VRChat dance parties/raves and the best solution I've managed so far is to set my microphone to my DJ controller, so the audio from my controller is what comes from my avatar as my 'voice', which is fine because I could theoretically just run multiple VRC clients, and set the avatar on each account to be invisible and place them in/behind the speakers in a club world so that the closer you get to the speakers the louder the music gets, but I really would like to show my twitch stream on the wall so people can see me actually DJing IRL and see my avatar in the DJ booth. Eventually I plan to start a meatspace/IRL event where I connect a projector to my DJ laptop and output the VRChat video to the projector and simultaneously stream on twitch with a camera pointed at the IRL dance floor so people IRL can see the people dancing in VR, and the people in VR can see the people on the IRL dance floor. They'd be able to see each other dance, wave at each other, etc so it's like being able to dance in a club with people from all over the world. But that's the eventual plan, for now I just need to have my stream show up in VRChat

Hey mate, I'm trying to get this working for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020. Whilst the chat box is visible, it's not updating/loading messages until I leave the game - Do I need to load into Oculus Home in the airlink environment for this to work (because I haven't been for MSFS2020)? I don't seem to have any issues with chat not updating in DCS, but that loads steam VR which I think is what allows the chat box to update.
