Awesome thanks for all your great videos. This really helped me understand the segmenting in my GR account and gave me more ideas for automations. 😊

Thanks Josh for this tutorial! I'm looking at a way to send an email blast to all my lists, but exclude those emails that are being sent my autoresponder sequence . Is there an easy way to do that? (I 'm on 'Email Marketing' plan in Getresponse & not in 'Marketing automation' plan)

Hey! Thank you so much for checking out my tutorial on segmentation! So, the way that I have my lists set up is that if someone is in a specific list, they are currently in that autoresponder sequence. When they are done with that sequence, they either go to my newsletter or to my unengaged list, depending on their activity. That way I know that whoever I am sending my normal emails to are not already getting emails from my autoresponder series. You could also create a segment where you could send to anyone that doesn't have an autoresponder day assigned, but that only works if you actually take them out of that list and put them somewhere else after the autoresponder. Otherwise it constantly counts up on autoresponder day. Maybe I'll look into doing another video of how to send newsletters to people who aren't in an autoresponder series, or at least far enough along in the days that they wouldn't be getting any more emails from autoresponders.

@@JoshSchonert Thanks a lot Josh, your first solution looks simple to me. Can you tell how can I have someone who's done with my 30 day autoresponder series , go onto my 'Main newsletter' list - where I send newsletters only to those who aren't in my 30 day series?
@JoshSchonert2 жыл бұрын
@@imfasihahmad So I have a video where I talk about how to move contacts between lists automatically. That's probably going to be your best solution - kzbin.info/www/bejne/jHjPZYuVrZiindk Basically, you would set it up so once they join that list where they have the 30 day autoresponder series, the automation waits 30 days (or 31 if you want to be extra careful) and then moves the contact to your newsletter list.

Just came across your channel, thanks for these videos! Already subbed and will get your watch hours up with just my watching 😀 question... with the list segment, will it change automatically? E.g. I set a segment with engagement score of 2, if someone goes from 3 to 2, will they automatically get added to that segment?
@JoshSchonert3 жыл бұрын
First of all - Thank you for the sub and for watching the videos! I appreciate your support! For your question - Yes! That's one of the great things about the list segments is that once you save a segment, any contacts that meet that criteria will show up in there. So as per your example, yes, someone that goes from a 3 to a 2 in their engagement score will show up on that segment that looks for engagement score of 2. Then, if they go back up to a 3, they no longer will show up there.

Suppose I create an autoresponder for 7 days(one email per day for 7 days) for everyone who signs up to my list, then after a few weeks I want to create another 1 week of emails (one per day), but i only want to send it to those who have gone through the initial autoresponder cycle, and not to those who're still going through the initial autoresponder cycle, how do i do that? I just put day 8,9,10....as cycle day while creating the new autoresponder cycle?
@JoshSchonert Жыл бұрын
The best way to do this would be to add to the existing automation and then have a wait period between the first and second set of emails. You could also attempt to set up two different automation, but finding the right criteria to move them from one automation to another is harder than setting it all up with one. If you were to use two, I'd recommend checking for engagement before moving them to another automation.
