Instead of Linktree, I believe you can simply create a web page within your website that contains these buttons that link to each page which you want people to visit. I have been dreaming of being able to paint again for years and I am always browsing art videos. I came across yours and after watching, was so inspired and excited to get started. I have three young boys so I haven't had the time or energy to dedicate to really getting started paining again. I have always been creative and have dabbled in art my whole life. For years now I have been so drawn to watercolour and have been fantasizing of throwing myself into it full time but with the kids, it's been impossible. You really inspired me to stop the excuses and just get started practicing with whatever I have whenever I have time. I always thought I had to have the perfect moment and environment to create art, but maybe that's the wrong way of thinking. Maybe I just need to do it. I love your personality shining through your videos, you come across as really down to earth and humble and funny. I will keep watching, thank you for the inspiration!

I suspect part of your success is that you are willing to put yourself out there authentically as an artist and a business person. Hi Vanessa thanks so much. I truly appreciate that. I like to be able to create at least 5-10 pieces a month. There is no set number and it all depends on how I feel. Hi. I don't often comment on videos, but I just wanted tell you how much I appreciate your videos. I hit the like button and I'm subscribed, but wanted you to know that liking your videos is more than that. I laugh with you when you fall over your words. It shows you're human. I have chronic fatigue and my brain often struggles for the right word, panics and just lobs something similar in my mouth that is completely inappropriate. Sometimes these are very funny. Refreshing to see someone I imagine is 'put together' making a mistake. Everyone edits them out to appear perfect. Thank you for not doing that. It makes you more relatable. Also, I'm so grateful that you share all this info. I've yet to make the leap into selling my work, but your videos make this whole process less frightening. Thank you so much.

Hi Lori , I admire how prolific and dedicated you are as an artist (really I do ) . Working 12 or more hours a day is no joke, even doing what you love. Watching your videos I realize that the all process to be a successful artist is a long lonely journey and that make think some times the huge amount of time and resources that I have to invest. I mean , the only way to be successful is doing what you do as an artist and I don’t see any shortcut. The all idea paralyzed me in fear . Sometimes I doubt if I can make a living as an artist or not. Only time can tell. I’ll say it again I admire your dedication and enthusiasm! Thank you very much .
@lorimirabelliabstractartist3 жыл бұрын
I don't really think there are any short cuts to success. It's such a wonderful journey through and if you were truly meant for this putting in the effort would be worth it. I also did very well being a part time artist and had a full time career, but for me it wasn't enough, I wanted that whole package so I was willing to and in a position to put in the work. When you are goal setting choose something on a smaller scale so you don't feel so paralyzed, then re-evaluate on a yearly basis and keep expanding on the goal. It also helps to break things down into smaller steps.

Good morning, thanks for the video...great way to start the day with a little nudge in the right direction and lots of hazelnut cream coffee. lol. Big fan of Golden, especially the gels. For now, just to get started in volume I'm using Artist Loft and Liquitex tubes and Craft Smart bottles for different acrylic thickness consistencies... Should i make the switch to all Golden paint or is the quality not that different among these brands?

Thank you so much Lori, for all this great information. I studied art and it's been challenging to get out of a critical thinking mindset. Hearing you talk about painting and creating is so inspiring. I need to find the love of making again and remember why I paint in the first place. All the best to you 😊

Thank you for sharing your experience. I love how authentic you are. Where in Canada are you from? I’m in Montreal and I find it frustrating finding certain art supplies, there’s one store, no real competition! Anyway , Blessings to you✨🥰💖

Thank you so much! I greatly admire and appreciate you! 💗💗💗 If others have asked or if you’ve already addressed this, sorry: How can we prevent the images of our paintings being taken and shared or used by others?
@lorimirabelliabstractartist3 жыл бұрын
I only have discussed that somewhere in a comment on another video. The reality is other then watermarking (which I really don't recommend) or simply never posting to social media it would be hard to prevent that from ever happening. What I said earlier is, I could be showing an art exhibition and leave my booth for a second when someone with a full frame high resolutions camera could take a photo of my art and sell it for prints. So I truthfully just don't worry about that...never have. I try and focus on things that I can control. 😊 probably not the answer you were hoping for.

I went from Wix to Wordpress using Divi to create my own website. It took long but I did it. I still struggle to get more viewers to my website. I am growing my subscriber list but want to get my art out there. I would really appreciate ant advice. Thank you for sharing! By the way, I really like your authentic style. I am currently working on a body of work and exploring. Working full time but I have ti do this.

Hi Lori, THANK YOU SO MUCH for the offerings you give to use beginners in art business. Can you comment, or perhaps you have on another video, selling originals vs glicee prints, versus Xerox prints. Selling both on Etsy, in shows and in galleries. Thank you again!
