👌Always relatable . I am a painter/musician working n living in Haiti 🇭🇹, where political n economic situation is difficult . Gangs surround the capital, exodus of hundreds of thousands , no electricity, no current water, we use solar power n collect rain water…I had gallery exhibits, good sales, represented my country abroad etc had success n also had a screen printing biz with a local line of tees . Now, kids always, a city in chaos, not much sales , I lost my biz but a lot of time to paint, experiment, record music, learn , started a KZbin channel. I am grateful n happy in my practice , building resilience, even if the cultural life has died, I paint or make music almost every day, craft percussions, flutes, learned guitar n ukulele over the years… skills develop interest . Stay creative, consume less media, read, craft , inspire. Take care. Cheers.👊

Man...honestly you have been an inspiration for me, a few months ago I was in the darkest point of my life. I was sinking in a deep hole of depression and identity crisis. Watching your videos absolutely inspired me to discover myself, and made me realized that i actually have a purpose in life, which was to make impact to the world with my art. I am so grateful i found your channel❤❤

Wow, thanks for sharing that Graphitus. What can I say other than I'm glad my work could be a part of that for you. Power to you on your journey forwards, and thanks for taking the time to let me know the work hit in this way - it matters.

I make beats and the visuals in that I look for footage and chop that up and upload it weekly. I have to have a video out every Wednesday. The one thing that has made how I create freeing and manageable is because I don't give myself too much time to think about what I'm putting out. I know my work doesn't always perform the same but as long as I carve out time to make music and fun visuals. I'm happy.

Hey man, first of all I love your content. I’ve recommended your videos to all of my friends and all of the creatives I come across so thank you. I Feel like very well rounded artist if I could say so, I design pattern and so clothing for musicians and Myself, In Valencia, I also paint make Self portraits , My next big project is starting a music career And combining all of the arts. I also study fashion and live with my mother so as you can see, I have lots of things going on and I’ve watched your videos multiple times because I also find it hard sometimes to do everything. To answer your question, I don’t have any routines. I don’t Do some of the things that I have to do as in responsibilities. Sprry if this isn’t of much help. I feel like one of the most important things for me to get that creative idea out and express it, it might seem a bit self-destructive but almost everything else in my life. This does cause a few problems on then. But for now I am able to manage them. Lots of Love a Mexican Valencia🙌🏼

I can relate to the video. I seen that just being able to stay consistent to my passion through my art helps a lot. I’m always putting ideas together and love depicting that into the canvas. One day my art will be seen by millions!!! 😊

just on the last part of the video, I think there is always extra time in the day for creative work you might not think it but its there, I manage a full time content job for a marketing agency, my side jobs which is doing overseas VFX work and the occasional nightclub work. I really enjoy getting out in nature with my friends and filming little videos on weekends when I have the time, I also somehow find the time to edit these videos. Trying to manage these 3 jobs and my passion projects does leave me with very little spare time to relax with very long days, but I enjoy the work so its almost like I don't need the time to 'relax'. My goal moving forward is to gain my time back by out sourcing some of the work to friends and other contractors even though I will be taking a pay cut, I will gain more time, which I do believe is more valuable.

Hey Cam, thanks so much for leaving this. I really like the idea coming through here around creative work being our relaxation time, and trying to find ways we can make that work. I'm going to reference these ideas in my video, and thanks for just taking the time to drop them for anyone who reads this page here too. Best, Will

Another great video - on thoughts for the next one: as a father, a husband and with a full time job I have a few core principles for myself: consistency, taking photos every week, prioritising my creativity over other social activity that isn’t contributing to the outcomes I am looking for, regular daily review of my work so that I know exactly what I want to do when I have my next chance to do it, reminding myself that I’m not entitled to anything - I have prioritised my life for my family and I’m ok with that - if it’s just me that enjoys the outcome, that’s fine with me.

I usually get most inspired after something life-altering happens, like just recently i came up with one of my favorite ideas yet and i just kept getting idea and idea for it--once i came to reality with the trump presidency, which i was stuck in a daze for the days prior in disbelief. when things are working against me is usually when im trying to be the most creative or trying to make the biggest changes. also i get work done around 1am-5am its like a ticking time bomb and im working against the lost time, im still working on this and would like to change my hours to the early morning instead, but again its like im working against something because there's a push and pull factor

Oooh nice idea around that push/pull factor, I dig that wording, and thinking about building that pressure in, even when it's our own passion project stuff. I f*cking hear you on creativity coming out of big events and changes too. And in terms of Trump, I think you said it all above, I hope it inspires you to make something satisfying or useful or that you're proud of. Peace Tyler

Nice one Joshua - yeah I'm collecting some stuff around this - as it comes up as a topic quite a lot and I know the feeling myself. That video will drop in around 3 weeks I think, 3 or 4. Thanks for taking the time to drop into the comments, it's appreciated.
