When adjusting the idle blade position, I've found sometimes using different sized PCV valves can help get the idle in the range you want.

@@PACBrian for sure. It’s a good way to get it settled and can verify vacuum as you go. Thanks man! It’s a little different but I like how it came together as a Frankenstein mix of parts.

Hi I appreciate your knowledge and love you videos. Hoping you can possibly help me i have a Edelbrock 1806 AVS Carburetor that I bought used looked complete but found out it is missing the butterfly secondary piece any suggestions where to find one? Thank you for your time.

@MuscleCarSolutions is there a weighted butterfly for the secondaries on a 1806 Edelbrock carburetor? Getting conflicting answers.
@MuscleCarSolutions7 күн бұрын
@ no. The thunder series carburetors use the air valve secondaries. The performer series carburetors use the weighted air valve.

Just curious, where is your pcv vacuum coming from?

@@mikeymike758 the engine vacuum through the carb is what pulls through the PCV to clear the engine.

@@dickeymoore3662 I’m not currently offering a rebuild service. When/if I resume it, you can check my website for that announcement.

I thought that while adjusting the adjustment screw, you had to get the highest vacuum? All that time, you did not even talked about vacuum. Am I right?
@MuscleCarSolutions11 күн бұрын
@@professorgreen1215 there wasn’t enough variance in engine vacuum so I switched to engine RPM and (hopefully) that’s clearly visible on the timing light seeing the RPM change as I turned the mixture screws.
