Hey man, this information is always much appreciated. Keeping it generalized is always the best since i'm sure there are people that would want to make an attempt to undercut your prices, increasing competition. Smart guy and as always, great video.

Make sure you are Clear on your prices and what the customer should expect. I had a potential customer say “omg that’s it?” For a 40$ quote . Which was for a quick in and out cleaning . That’s literally just vacuum , wipe down , windows and exterior wash with tire shine for me. Takes me no more than 1 hour . She saw my results on a car I worked on in the parking lot which was a Express detail in and out with a clay bar treatment , of course it looked great. But that’s a 3 hour job which cost 120$ . Just a tip ! be very clear on pricing and expectations basically so you don’t end up with unhappy customers

A 3 hour job with claybar should at least be $200-300… You’re absolutely undercharging yourself

Thanks bro. Im about to start my business. I just bought everything i need. Ima practice on a couple of my cars and see how long it takes. Quick question do you charge seperate prices from inside and outside detailing ?
@wolfmode00615 ай бұрын
You could do separate and duo packages. Make the duo package cheaper than doing both separately. This will encourage more sales and save you time and gas on having to travel back if you're mobile.

It can depend on your city/state, for the most part you can obtain a business license from your city when fulfilling all of their requirements.

Nice. It all comes down to what you feel comfortable with! I was only giving examples then everyone can play with the numbers. If you’re charging $150 for about 4-5 hours you’re averaging about $30 - $37.50 an hour.

Can anyone give me some advice? I find myself taking around 4 hours to detail the exterior of a car (I know it’s way too long). I live in a state that has 100 degree weather and sun out all day long. So when I was vehicles the soap usually dries up quick and after I scrub and rinse things off I’m left with a lot of water marks that eats away at my time. I wash the vehicle in sections because of how hot it is but even when I dry it just leaves water marks. Does anyone have any tips of how I should properly wash a vehicle or how I can be more effective in drying it off? Thank you
@detailingbeyondlimits Жыл бұрын
Hey Oscar, I actually have a video where I show you how to wash your vehicle in direct sunlight, I share an awesome product that can be used in scenarios where you are working in the intense heat. Make sure you check it out! Also, try to create a process on how you wash a vehicles exterior, and repeat that same exact process on every vehicle you work on, with time you’ll be able to get used to that process and be much quicker.

Takes me about 3-4 including the wheels and tires and putting a wax or sealant on and doing windows. I clean daily drivers that’s are rough on the outside so I feel you, it takes a long time. Find a process that works for you and you will get faster with time. As far as soap drying that’s a tough one for sure if you are mobile and can’t go inside.
