what lenght of line do you advice between float and pole tip den

Given that Flat Floats are designed for fast/powerful currents, I tend to go with about 3ft (1 metre).

daft question ive bought some rigs but they are 5m what do I do with the extra length?

I have seen them but never bought or tried it. But you might of persuaded me to get one. Will it work ok with a standard rod as well?

I have never tried that particular type of flat float (Cralusso Torpedo) on a rod Phillip. and I don't think it would work all that well. I have however tried the Cralusso Bolo floats which have an angled spike at the top of the float. These floats pull sideways when held back and therefore they move back out into the main flow automatically for you. It's a bit like controlling a kite. They take a little bit of time to get right, but they do work. I have also heard that the Cralusso Surf Floats can do the same, but in addition, they may be able to move backwards against the flow. I know that sounds impossible but the information came from a credible source.

@@FishingwithDen Well you learn something every day! Could be negative pressure causing a stronger force backwards?
@FishingwithDen5 жыл бұрын
@@Offcut55 Not sure mate. I think it is probably the same as a sailing boat using it's sails to go against the wind.

Hi Trevor. I got mine from a mate who used to sell them. Unfortunately, he is retired now, so the ones I have were leftover stock.
