Spent about three hours in total with over a dozen support agents the past week just trying to order a single additional sensor for my self-setup system. At this point, with all the time I’ve soaked up from the support staff, I can’t imagine that one sensor will turn any profit 🙃

How do you add the device on the ADT+ app??? It only shows you the status there’s no place to add devices on the app. Sensors don’t come with any instructions. This is a terrible process. I guess this app of different than the ADT Pulse app and the MyADT app?? Why do many apps??

Hello. If you need to remove an ADT device from your ADT smart home security system, follow the Remove Device instructions: Go into the Main Menu of the ADT+ app. Tap Device. Select the device you want to remove, for example, Door Sensor. Tap the Remove Device button. On the Are You Sure pop-up, tap Yes to remove the device, or No to cancel the removal. Hello, thank you for reaching out to us. Sensors and devices in an ADT Self Setup system are preconfigured so that they will already be paired to your system and can be added by simply removing the battery tab, please follow the steps below. Pull the exposed plastic battery tab from the back of the door/window sensor. The LED will begin to flash to indicate that the sensor is booting. The LED will continue to blink once per second while attempting to pair with the hub. If a network is not found after 90 seconds, the sensor will go into sleep mode. To wake the sensor again, you need to touch the magnet to the sensor as seen in the image below or press the tamper switch, which can be found inside the sensor’s casing, to repeat the pairing process.

@@adt I got it working and I stand corrected. Here’s my feedback: 1 - you need to pair the sensor immediately with the hub upon pulling the tab out. Don’t stay on the instructions screen just click to where it starts pairing, THEN pull the tab, and place it next to the hub. These details are not in the instructions 2 - adt seems to be a bit of a mess. There are 4 different apps, knowing what’s doing what is nearly impossible. Why not have one single app, one place to go for all things ADT? 3 - connection with Google home is not plug and play. It’s ok, but adt doesn’t recognize any nest cameras that aren’t the latest versions, so all those nest cams purchased won’t show up in the adt app but will in Google home. So guess which one I’ll be using? Google home of course. ADT - nice try, not bad but not great. Support more nest cams and improve your instructions 👍
