I'm a little OCD about adjusting valve lash. I like to use 2 different color Sharpie markers, to mark the ones that have been adjusted. During the first pass, each rocker gets a tick mark from one marker. Then I do a second pass to double-check the lash, using the second marker. I'm done when every rocker arm has two different colored tick marks on it.

I’m a little confused if the exhaust valve is moving down that isn’t tdc. That’s the piston at the bottom of the bore. Tdc compression would be when both valves are shut.

I noticed that too, he says to set the intake and exhaust on number one but the way he set it up the exhaust rocker arm has started to move which would not be at a place to start adjusting

Sorry if I'm off topic and a little late, but I just watched [S2 E11]. I would just like to note that if you're not spooling up the primary compressor (the large turbo), then it's probably restricting airflow to the small turbo. It might be interesting to throw a vacuum gauge upstream of the small compressor to see. Have a great holiday season (you deserve a break) and the best of new years.Thanks for taking the trouble to produce and share your work.

Better filters like a Fass help.
@jeffbell17454 жыл бұрын
The problem is not the injectors themselves. The problem is that GM fuel filters only filter to 7 microns while the injectors are only rated for 3 microns. Over time the injectors get wore out from having larger particles forced through them than they are rated for. The solution, as Deboss says, is to put an aftermarket fuel filtration system on your truck such as FASS. It's a little costly (around $650) but still cheaper than replacing a set of injectors.
@aaronschocke54632 жыл бұрын
A great deal late to the party, here, but you may be like me an have parked the truck 3 years ago. Lol. Yes, there are better injectors now. The OEM injectors featured VCO (valve concealed orifice) style nozzles. The needle directly covers every hole in the injector on a tapered seat. Any wear can cause the needle to veer off center and expose any one of the holes, causing it to leak. SAC style nozzles are available now for LB7s and they only have one hole to seal. Lincoln Diesel offers them new with a 3 year warranty and unlimited miles.
