Do i need to alter anything in events manager? There is also a conversions api section where we can setup a partner integration with shopify?
@VertexMarketingAgency3 жыл бұрын
Just make sure that you don't have another installment sending data to the Facebook pixel (you can verify by using the Facebook pixel helper & event testing tool). You'll need to enable Shopify as your partner.

Thanks for the video! How would you compare this setup compared with a server side tracking setup (in shopify store) via GTMss/GA4?

I would say that they’re both really good solutions but obviously the GTM route will give you more options.

I recommend you use the FB test event tool and see if you can trigger the add to cart event. You can also message Shopify and ask for support with the intergration :)

Question, I just double checked that my CAPI is enabled on my shopfy story but when I test shop events, I can only see the purchase event being recorded from the server side. Rest of the events are only recording from pixel. Please guide, thanks.

I am using 2 different facebook page, I could only add one on the setup, what happens with the purchases from the fb page that wasnt setup?
@VertexMarketingAgency3 жыл бұрын
The reason you can only add 1 Facebook page is because Shopify automatically creates a FB & IG shop for you and sync it to your page. This won't affect how website puchases are being reported in ads manager unless you have another shop on that other FB page.

Doing the method shown in this video will take care of both browser and sever tracking so you don’t need to do anything else.

@VertexMarketingAgency3 жыл бұрын
It depends... If they only opted out of Facebook, yes you'll be able to track them but if they opted out of Facebook & your website or app then you're not supposed to send data to any 3rd parties for marketing purposes.

When I import your file, it all seems to work except for the FB-Base Tracking tag - Customer Information Data Parameters - having content in the Parameter Value column won't allow me to publish. Hi: We have an issue with a Shopify store. The "Events received from server" dropped to 0. Also, it seems are problems with "event deduplication" and "data freshness." Our Facebook campaigns are affected, and Shopify and Facebook support haven't offered us any solution. Here is the latest answer from Shopify: "However, the only part of this Pixel integration that we're able to change or fix on our end is the setup of the Pixel itself and the Conversions API, and we're not seeing any problems there. If there is a technical issue in the Events Manager or some other part of Facebook's system where they're not receiving the events your Pixel is sending, Facebook Support will be best positioned to identify and solve it." Do you have any suggestions? How can we solve this?

Hello sir Actually I have done the same as per you told, but I don't know why facebook is calculated my every event twice, like it is calculating server even and browser event both, please help me with this problem, if one visitor is making purchase then on Facebook ads it is showing 2 purchase, 2 add to cart, 2 initiate checkout
@VertexMarketingAgency2 жыл бұрын
That’s probably because you have more than one tracking setup. Disconnect the Facebook app from Shopify and use the events manager testing tool to see if you get any events. If you do… that means something else is sending data to your pixel.

ok, i've done everything. but if i want to make a conversion ad, it ask me to install additional code. (not the facebookbook pixel. FB Pixel works) but it asks me to install a piece of code for conversion and i cant find out how and where. Do you have a video for that as well?
@VertexMarketingAgency2 жыл бұрын
With this setup you don’t need to add any additional code to your website. I think that your ad account might not be connected to your pixel.

In my events manager in the Pixel settings; under Conversion API; there's also a 'Set up a new gateway' option. Do we also have to do that? Or is just the connected partners enough? thanks!

I've implemented this on the shopify store but event matching score is low and wondering if server side tagging implementation would make sense with GTM to improve event matching score?
@VertexMarketingAgency2 жыл бұрын
If you know you’d be able to send more parameters with GTM than yes I recommend you try it for a few weeks and see what the match rate is. But before making that switch you’ll probably need to implement a dataLayer (just a heads up).

Hello, thank you for the very informative video! I have a question if you don't mind, do these six events get sent only in case of a registered customer? For example, if I'm running a conversion ad campaign and tracking "anonymous" people who just passed through my landing page and clicked on a button (the click on a button is counted as a conversion), can the FB CAPI help in this case? I'm not sure if you can answer my question, but I thought I'd ask just in case.
@VertexMarketingAgency2 жыл бұрын
The CAPI will help report more events inside your campaigns. One of the best way to find out exactly how much more is by going to event manager and look at the browser and server count and do a subtraction to find out the difference.
