ABOUT THE PATTERN: The Tapioca Trousers are a high waisted and pleated trouser with a relaxed fit. They are designed to be comfortable around the waist and have generous ease throughout the hips and crotch. When designing them, the guiding words were dramatic, elegant, and wearable. I wanted something that was easy to wear and simple to style, while still bringing the drama in an effortlessly cool fashion.

I’m going through this tutorial. I love the details. I dont know where I went wrong but I ended up with a Fly Facing piece cut the wrong way (mirrored). Thankfully I was able to notice from the video.

Is it okay if I skip the interfacing on my linen trousers to give them a little more flow rather than a stiff structure?

It’s definitely possible! I think you’ll want it in the waistband though, because the structure helps the fabric to not fold over funny when sitting. That said, if it doesn’t bother you, then totally go for it! You could also try picot interfacing, which offers stability while keeping the drape 🥳

I am in between sizes so I’m not sure which I should choose. My waist is 40 but my hips are 46. On your pattern I would be between a 16 and 20. Which would work best?
