www.saddleback.com/apologetics - Expert on defending your faith, Greg Koukl, talks about an unexpected approach to sharing what you believe. You’ll learn how to modify your goal for conversations to communicate more effectively with others. No matter how little you may know about Christianity, or how aggressive, articulate, or intelligent the other person may be, Greg gives you a game plan that will allow you to converse with confidence in any situation. By using his “Columbo tactic,” you’ll discover how asking carefully selected questions will draw people out and cause them to rethink their beliefs.

His opening is a great sales lesson. In sales, you spend time getting to know the customer, their needs and interests, and what you might have to meet that need. A good seller listens more, speaks less, and leaves their potential customer feeling respected, cared for and understood. Christian could do likewise.

Aristotle... Columbo... Boghossian... Koukl... pretty much the same technique across the board. It works for two reasons: 1 - Because the person using the technique is already convinced of their position, and they're not really having a conversation 2 - Because most folks don't have good reasons for a lot of the things they believe.

This is great talk. I disagree with his introduction about us not all being harvesters. The evidence of power in Spirit is that you can bring someone to believe. 1 Corinthians 3:5 Even Appollos watered but was seen as someone they came to believe.

That's not what it means. The title is simply HOW TO SHARE YOUR FAITH, a discussion/session with the man named Greg Koukl. Hope this explanation suffices?

Why would an omniscient god inspire a book knowing it would be misinterpreted? Flawed humans can write technical manuals which cannot be misconstrued why cant an omnipotent god?

My point is obvious to a rational thinker, god is a man made construct invented to control sheeple.

Show me a technical manual and I will show you how it can be misconstrued.

It is quite rational to believe a Creator God exists. What you actually mean is that a rational thinker who believes naturalism is true must conclude that God is a human construct because nothing, by definition, exists beyond this physical realm.

A deity would be able to communicate its message with us without a book. The only way humans communicate a message to other humans is with a book. This garbage is obviously man made. Scratch Greg Koukl and you'll find an agnostic underneath. He pulls his shtick because he is surrounded by a huge number of Christian enablers AND he's making money doing this.

Atheism is a man made construct where the common non thinker is given the illusion of life without consequence or responsibility, but allows those in power to teach man is a worthless accident and can load them onto the cattle trucks without difficulty or resistance lacking any means to rationally argue against it. Trouble is the atheist knows God and morality and cannot live in God's creation without reasoning the way the Christian does, its only the love of sin that blinds them to the full acknowledgement right down to looking at the awesome design in life and denying the designer but man then does a pretty rubbish imitation and then calls that brilliant design. Man is a God made construct.
