Troy, I take the blade off a hack saw. Then I tied a sting on the knobs that were holding the saw blade. Rub the green compound on the sting and your set to sharpen those Ser-Razors in the Black Hornet. Works great! Keep making videos, I watch everyone of them.

Great broadhead!!!! Makes’’em bleed a lot and fast a combo that breathes success for bow hunting. Pair that with a lifetime warranty that you can easily use if you have the damaged head send a pic to the owner Mike and he’ll send you a new one. I’ve used the warranty recently and it was easy as could be got two new heads within a week or so of sending in email. Tip curl is its weakness but all cut on contact heads will inherit this weakness they don’t always curl but hit solid bone and it can definitely happen. It doesn’t turn me away from using as they still will have tons of sharp edge left to cut and kill. They leave mechanical looking holes and blood trails.

I’ve tried a dozen or more different sharpening systems over the years and this one you’re using has worked best for me with knives. I’ll try broadheads next.

Hey Troy. Bonus tip for making sure you're getting these set consistently in the Work Sharp jig. Get a sewing hem gauge with a slide stop. I found that keeping them at 8mm from the edge will get you set at the 17* bevel. Just wanted to pass it along.

the WorkSharp system works really well. So far, I've gotten all my knives REALLY sharp with it. Have yet to do broadheads but that is next. thanks Troy, for all the info you put out there. I want to break more shoulders and ribs while shooting more forward!

You can also get after market support block for guide. It prevents it from flexing to keep the angle consistent and prevent damage to the support bracket.

Hey Troy, is there a reason you used the older WS precision adjust instead of the newer pro precision adjust? Is there any difference that makes the older model better for the black hornets? Also, tying your twine/string to a small, flexible stick and making a little bow makes it easier to sharpen the serations.
@RanchFairy7 ай бұрын
I mentioned both and just used the middle priced one.

I will be shooting the Black Hornet Ser Razor this year and i got a great deal on this sharpener. Quick question, you sharpened the ser razor side (front blades) do you sharpen the back angle as well? This was exceptionally helpful. Thank you!

No, the interruptions are cut through, not beveled. Look at them closely - you'll understand.

Cool machine ! Any good fisherman knows there isn’t a sharp hook that comes out of a package! Just like broad heads they need to be sharpened! I love my stay sharp guides stupid simple and it’s set up for the iron wills I shoot. Keep snapping jaws and shooting straight RF
@Mtn_Dewpider7 ай бұрын
I’ve used both the stay sharp and worksharp for iron wills and this machine is much faster and gets them even sharper. It sharpens the blade and tanto tip at the same time unlike the Stay Sharp
