Thank you for this. After Is saw this video I purchased the Wahl Balding Clippers. I've been looking for the best way to achieve my baldness without the irritation that head shavers and razors leave my sensitive head. I was shaving with Gillete razor for sensitive scalp but I had to do that every other day to avoid ingrown hairs. The Skull Shaver I purchased left my head covered in bumps and I had to shave almost every day. I'm busy! So this was a God send. I love shaving with the clippers. It takes my hair down so low (I zero gapped the clippers) and I follow it up with a Foil shaver and I'm good to go. Best is that I only have to shave every four days or so. I love You Tube! Thanks again!

As another female would you say to get the absolutely best “close” cut you should use the clippers + the electric shaver? Do you get any irritation or bumps doing it this way? Also, I’m still learning but do you have a routine or setup so that you don’t have hair everywhere-on you and everything around you? Lol. Thanks

@@t.terrell7037 So i've tried different methods and so far the one that has left me with a nice clean shave and no skin irritation or razor bumps is Shaving with these Wahl clippers which I zero gapped, meaning i got the moving blade as close to the stationary blade making sure it doesn't peek over it. One pass with that and my shave is down to the scalp where you can see (i have oily skin prone to dandruff) my skin but still some light stubble. I follow it up with a wet shave using the foil shaver (Braun Series 3) and that gets it smooth, no stubble. I use a shaving lotion so it glides over my skin. After the shave I rinse and pat dry. Freshen my head with Witch hazel and I apply for good measure some bump control (my nape is very sensitive). this closes up the pores and prevents razor bumps. To moisturize without getting my scalp greasy I use a mixture of Tea tree and Eucalyptus oil. Shaving this way allows me to go up to 3-4 days between shaves cause the hair grows back softer vs. A razor where the hair is really sharp as it grows back. At least for me. Hope this helps.

An easy clean up method. Cover sink area and floor w plastic 55 gallon trash bags. Can even open them up w scissors and use entire bag. Also lay some on floor. Can also make a shirt outta the smaller 13 gallon bags. The hair sticks to the plastic bags from the static. Super Easy clean up.

Definitely agreed it does leave a mess. I also cut at the bathroom sink but I close the drain then place something like a black satin barber's cape over everything that pretty much catches all of the hair and makes any cleanup super fast and keeps hair out of my drain. I think I will try this product. Appreciate the vid, excellent work.

It does leave a big mess. That's why I stand in a dry shower or bath and do this. You can use a hand mirror to check your work. But I find as you get better, using your hand to find missed or uneven spots works very well. Do a final visual inspection. Even if that takes you out of the shower stall now the mess will be minimal. Rinse out the shower stall or bath. A detachable shower head works best for that chore. Voila! Easy-peasy.

Can someone offer assistance?😂 if I use trimmers to get close but go with hair grain it’s not getting super close so it’s like I have a shadow and then when I go against the grain it seems to cut closer but it doesn’t seem to grab all the hair I missed when I go against the grain when I’m trying to get as close as possible? It feels like it takes longer than it would at a barber shop, with a bigger mess, and it feels like I keep going over the same areas that look dark trying to clean up the area with no luck. My head is pretty small so repeated cutting makes my head sore and the trimmers start to get hot after about ten minutes. So I’d have a sort of Caesar cut where I can see my scalp although it’s not completely bald like it would be with a razor? Or do I just have crappy trimmers? (Andis Pivot) Any suggestions? Thanks

@@allisonwendell9942 I see. I'm trying to avoid having to purchase both. Foil clippers are specifically just for touching up, correct? For instance, if he had tried to use foil clippers on his hair as it was in the beginning of this video, they basically wouldn't have done anything, correct?

@@MrPsalms207 It depends when I tried to use just foil clippers to get my hair bald it pulled and left me with irritation. That could be because my head is senstive and my hair is coarse. But I use them for touch up once my hair is as low as the clippers will get and it seems to do a really great job. It's still cheaper than razors cause I was shaving every other day and my razors had to be replaced like every three shaves. You can just try the clippers you may be happy with the results. i just bought the foil cause I knew I'd want it that much closer.

@@jabinthompson7984 So there are a lot of videos on You Tube that will walk you through it cause describing it is not as helpful as actually watching someone do it. Basically you loosen the two screws(do not remove them just slightly loosen) on the stable part of the clipper metal piece (the one that makes contact with your head) and push the inside blades up to align with the bottom half. Then you tighten the screws back (watch the video on how to do it so that the blades don't get crooked on you). Add the lubricating oil and turn them on. Then test them on the back of your hand, if it doesn't cut you, you're good to go. But like I said best to watch how it's done.

The problem with shaving outside the shower is all the hair that falls everywhere. These shaving videos never say what the solution to that part of the problem is.

Do it in the bath tub. Just don't have any water in it.

Not balding either. Had my hair the same way over the last few years and I guess it is time to try out something new. Why not going for a headshave if I am at it? And maybe growing a beard

Man I'm not bald or balding. I just have a ton of grey too early and I don't like to dye my hair. I actually have alot of hair but all these tutorial start with guys who are basically already bald

What if you own your grey hairs? Nothing wrong in having them, even if it is a little early. Would show a lot of confidence if you would roll with it and I heard some women like grey hairs. Anyway, you know best what to do :)

That may apply to shaving with a razor, but not so much with clippers.

Not to sound silly but if you don’t go against the grain how do you get all the hair? It feels like when I try to cut mine low I’m constantly going over the same area with the trimmers to clean up the hair and get all the dark spots. So the complete cut should be with and not against grain? Thank you!

@@johnathoncastro I think bald people miss their hair so they want it and don't accept that they're bald. I don't think people who have hair always shave their heads, maybe they'll do it once or twice but typically they'll grow it back
