I keep using the techniques from this channel...and my viewers are loving it! But that one, “think before you shoot”, has helped me the most. Just a little thought and consideration has helped me frame and stage scenes and try to set a pace that people enjoy.

I have only just found your site and subscribed. Great Work. I have been using a Samsing S7 (just waiting to compare iPhone 13 with upcoming Samsung abnd Pixel phones). My travel gear to date has been a pocket tripod with ball head and phone clamp. I mostly shot static using handy table tops and walls, posts or trees for stability. I recently acquired a Smooth 4 and love it. I found though that the Gimbal's native video app very limiting and Filmic Pro was jerky, so now I only use the native Samsung app (in pro mode, mostly). I took your light-stand suggestion one step further and removed the legs. Makes it so much lighter and easier to pack and carry, and doubles as a monpod (I had to put a chair leg tip on the end to keep the dirt out) I also fashioned some cardboard to shade the screen in Australia's harsh sunlight. One more tip: Carry a sheet of matt black cardboard to block reflection when shooting at an angle from windows - it works.

Thanks so much for this info! Very helpful. I'm using the DJI om4 gimbal with iphone 11 pro mox. As I'm learning the gimbal, i've noticed jitters in my footage. I'm shooting via the Mimo ap. Is this because the stabilization in the gimbal is fighting with the camera's?

Everything that is said in this video is so dead on true the less you have the more creative you become and I think this is just inherently why people screw up their films even as students and beginning filmmakers.... because they’re looking at all the toys and the gadgets available to them in the market, when in actual fact all you need is a good idea and a simple single lens. Hats off to this Channel 10/10 🎥👍🏻🖋

@@LearnOnlineVideo Yes .. .really loving your channel BTW. Honest, simple, to the point ... Best of all - it’s teaching practical skills most film makers don’t realise that it’s all there to begin with. It’s not what you’ve got it’s what you do with what you haven’t got & make the most of it with what you have. 👍🏻🎥🖋
