Wow, lots of great points for a newbie. I like the parts about revealing the first shot by start recording, locking focus, then starting the shooting. I hadn't thought about that. It definitely helps with focusing. I also like the creativity with the bog and turning the camera upside down. I was filming some water today and this would've helped. Thanks bunches!

This is going to be extremely useful! Sometimes just seeing and hearing the terminology with a quick compare/ contrast is really inspiring. I've done a bit of camera work professionally (stills) and "pulling it all together" always seemed to escape me. Just a bit of pre- planning goes a long way. Until you see the difference it just never seems to click into place. Now I have to figure out the music and sound stuff to go with it

First time here. I really like his method of teaching. I think there are a lot of people who just aren't physically able to do what he's doing here. I'm one of them. walking over rough ground while keeping the camera pointed in the desired direction and keeping it steady and all while trying not to stumble is a lot trickier than it appears. Bending at the knees and gradually moving up or in reverse is just not a good idea for me. the techniques are great but it might be nice to show the use of a gimbal to accomplish the same shots.
