Taking good care of my inner girl every chance I get! Living in my truth. Applying boundaries where necessary and upholding them. Pouring into myself and drawing closer to the One who created me fearfully and wonderfully ❤. Loving me more than I ever have and pouring into my daughter as I would have wanted as a child. That fulfills me deeply. No more placing myself as a foot bench for others to use and abuse and manipulate. Working on it now!!! 💯💯💯👏🏻👏🏻🔥🔥🔥 Life is amazing now

This is RIGHT on time. Just a few minutes ago I remembered the day my mom told me she didn’t like me and to stay away from her. Had to acknowledge that for a second…the pain was sudden and visceral.

My heart hurts for you, and I feel lucky and grateful that you chose to survive what was done to you. This might not mean much from a stranger on Obama's internet, but you deserve to be safe, secure, free, loved, respected and to pursue the joy in your soul with the friends of your heart. May the winds be always at your back.

@@B_Millie glad to hear it. I remain hopeful that everyone who needs to heal will be given the chance to permanently heal, because I know what it means to fail to outrun your abuser. I am keeping my fingers crossed that your journey forward is filled with gently surprising delight. And ice cream for all you love.

You always show up right on time!! I showed up today by playing my favorite playlist of songs I loved and use to download on Limewire and Napster, then i was spiraled to good memories of the era. An elder cousin passed 8 days ago and my own mother continues to gatekeep information regarding services although she's been at the house daily. The last family reunion I wasn't made aware of, until I started getting calls 2 hrs out of town of "where was I" "I embarrass" her. I called the deceased husband, and the funeral is literally this weekend!!! I will be giving a eulogy of how much of a mother figure she was because some of her saving graces held me up!

I always ask her WHY! I dig deep because I know whenever she starts acting out I know it’s from her mother wound. I always always ask her WHY! She knows she can tell me and I won’t dismiss her or tell her you are being too sensitive. I’m her mother now.
@JenniferarniseАй бұрын
This is good! Also ask her "What" What does she need? What will make her feel beter/seen/heard/supported. You're doin' good!

@ Thank you! I will do that more when I have asked in the past it’s mostly that she needs me to journal so she can get her words out without judgment.

Same vibration Jen! Had this talk with mine a couple days ago. I stopped with the busyness of the day, went within to check and make sure she was satisfied, needed anything. 🥰

Like those are good questions, but how do you talk with your inner child? I know theory pretty well, but i lack examples in practice like specific questions or how to even know that you talk with your inner child
@jihanabdurrafi1925Ай бұрын
One way to start is to grow your vocabulary and awareness around your feelings (beyond the common descriptors such as: happy, sad, tired, etc.). At any given moment, identify how you are feeling. Then consider how your inner child is feeling. I would start exploring this in safe, private spaces at first because you might be surprised to find that you’ll discover some deep emotions.
@lynellbАй бұрын
You may need to connect with her 1st, sounds like... Meditation. Go within, you may need to go back to a memory of your childhood and feel those feelings again. Sit in that moment for a bit, and then in your mind (imagination), comfort the you of that age. Hug her, wipe her tears, etc. This will allow you to connect with her. Like with mine, I was ignored, so I told her she IS seen and heard. She needed lots of love and support.
@JenniferarniseАй бұрын
This is how you talk to her. Try it. I don't do theory. I tell y'all exactly what I do. Talk to her like you would talk to anyone you want to get to know, that you have interest in, that you care about.
