Says "Get a glove or towel so you don't hurt your hand." Instead, lays oysters on towel, picks up oysters, shucks oysters without towel or glove, almost stabs own hand. SMH.

If you’re a beginner I’d recommend using a towel or glove for safety, but when you’re used to it you could do it the same way this guy did.

Thanks, I just did my first dozen. I don't have a shucking knife, so I just used a short bladed kitchen knife. Probably not the best idea, but I still have all my fingers & only broke one shell (a bit), so not too bad. cheers

My dad once taught me how to open them.. I took a screwdriver and tried opening, and it slipped and It almost was going to pierce my thumb, glad it was a slight cut....🙃
