How to simplify webOS 23 (version 8) home menu?

Since the introduction of the full-screen home menu, LG's webOS interface has become filled up with too much different content, making it more difficult to use. In this video I'm showing how to simplify it with a few easy steps on C3 OLED TV running version 23 (version 8 if we follow the old numbering).
