If you ever catch your self feeling jealous or wishing you were farther than you were remember that amazing singers weren’t always there. They developed their technique along their career as well and they still practice too. It takes time and practice.

And you guys here is another tip you should stop being scared that other singers and people will sing better than you. But be scared that you will be in the same position you are in a year from now. You guys have an opportunity to grow take it. It might be hard but it will get better. And happy people don’t care while unhappy people compare you got this!!

I absolutely agree! I'm a professional singer, and I always notice a huge difference in my performances after I do a full immersion of "good listening". In particular, I tend to listen to singera that have a very different style from mine, because sometimes the melting of 2 different styles gives birth to something very original! :)
@purgatorian16164 жыл бұрын
Dudeee this sounds so damn familiar to what I usually do for funnnn Which is basically: -I pick a song I really like, something that's challenging and can help me learn new techniques -I sit there and listen to it once, not even pay attention to itty bitty details, but more on get a vibe from it -I then sing it, sorta copy it, and make a mental note on parts that I don't really like the sound of -I play the song again and this time kind of subconsciously feel where they're singing from (I feel some weird tingly ASMR ish sensation like in my chest, or in my nasal cavities, etc. ) -I keep those in mind then I try singing it again trying to feel the sensation as I sing -then some tweaking which is like listening to a part then repeating it til it sounds familiar enough and double checking -once I can sing it comfortably I'll add my own little tidbits of pizzazz so it fits the style I like to sing in while not straying from the original too too much I'm learning Death of a Bachelor as of the moment and wooboi Brendon Urie makes me wanna just eat buckets of ice-cream after singing :'))

Singing is like therapy for me, so when I go to school I can sing perfectly (not perfect but like, sing with good breath support and on key) and I can sing in front of all my friends and ppl I don’t even know. But when I’m at home with my family my voice goes all wobbly and I tremble because I’m too scared to sing in front of family. So I was wondering: does location and the people around you affect your singing voice as well as confidence?
@AmaZaneChannel4 жыл бұрын
I think it’s because your family can be more critical and honest to you. So that’s probably where the fear and nerves come from. I’m sure you sound amazing either way! Just keep doing it until you stop feeling nervous about it.

That is such an amazing thing. I do this all the time and I can say that listening is so important! What I do as a second step is "ghost singing". I only move my mouth while listening to the song I want to sing. So I sing without making any sound. I do this a few times and then I sing with sound, but very low volume so I can still hear the original voice of the singer. I do that for a while and only then I start singing with normal volume. Last step ist to find a karaoke version of the song and try to sing it "alone". I love your videos Zane, you're so cool and so inspiring! ❤🌼🎶

For example, if im home alone with my little brother i wont sing too high because im scared he will hear even tho he’s basically deaf when he wears his headphones XD Im so scared of singing in front of people. Its like.. when someone is around (if i try to sing in front of them) i sound HORRIBLE. Its like my brain tells my voice to just stop. It just leaves my body and flies to my bff! (Im kind of jealous of her because shes so talented at everything and then here i am, afraid to sing in front of a mirror.) anyway, please help me dear singing goddess lord! XD

Mike Papadopoulos listen to singers sing a LIVE performance and absorb their techniques! Check out the checklist and pay close attention to the details in their voice. After listening many times, you will start to notice these things in your voice as well. Overtime you will learn to correct them and it will change your voice! Record a before and after and see your progress after a few weeks or months of doing this. 😍
