To me, embodying siren energy is being in love with yourself, the world and every possible thing in it. It's about paying particular attention to the physical senses. The siren is extremely sensuous and takes tremendous delight in the physical sensations of touch, smell, taste, etc. A siren is never anxious appearing, self-conscious or in a rush. She is fully relaxed and firmly rooted within herself. She speaks gently and slowly. Others are captivated by her radiance and wait with bated breath to see what she will say or do next. She is fully aware of the fact that SHE is the light source and that everyone around her is a moth to her flame.

Actually Marilyn monroe didn't love herself "as she said in her book" , And she became a siren by practicing a lotttt. But that could help YOU and everyone here to fall in love with themselves first.

Something you didnt mention but kind of touched on was she was incredibly witty. She would have moments of being sophisticated, talking slowly and quietly...but then she would add in something totally off-the -wall. It was part of her charm.

Jessica, you might enjoy this book about being a siren. It is called "The Rules" by Ellen Fein. Back in the 1990s before social media, when the internet was still a baby - I was in a "Chat" group about the Rules. It was so entertaining. All about the smiles, the flirting, the eyes, and about not being available, not accepting last minute dates. About being a bit mysterious and a diamond that he has to win. Lots more. It's a fun book

I didn’t know this was called sirening! I utilize this when I want to “perform” sexuality and I love the reaction it creates. The way people around me stumble through their words. The fact that Norma Jean and Marilyn are so so so different shows what a good actress she was even tho a lot of people considered her untalented and kind of stupid. I guess the joke was on them. 🤭 At the same time it's also sad because even the men she married confused the two personas. 😢

@Anna Voigt to be fair, I'm what they call a "short stack" it's a popular look these days it also helps that I'm very young looking and the younger a girl looks the more likely a guy is to approach her. If a woman is to look more mature and sexy she might get more admirers but they'll be less likely to approach. I can grantee i don't undersell myself I'm just going by conventional beauty standards. As for what i do, honestly i just have passion for my appearance i have fun with it because as soon as I force it, people notice

Sirens are an energy, basing everything on looks, personality etc is useless if you dont know how to control your energy, surface will only affect surface. It takes a very specific type of internal energy like marlyn level where you can conciously turn your light on and off at will, which she at times went out in disguise to show people she knew that it had nothing to do with who everyone knew her as in physical form 🙏💖

I can totally pick up on when you actually start to demonstrate sirening in this video and it's very powerful lol, it's like an energy that takes over the whole room, or in this case, the screen, i think it creates a confident aura even if you're not necessarily confident like in Marilyn's case, and you can turn it on or off accordingly. I think it's brilliant and it did help Marilyn become an icon, she was so much smarter than people give her credit for and she keeps inspiring all of us. This was fun to watch, thank you 🌹💖

07:20 lol do not try this in Germany. Not being punctual on purpose is considered rude and not desirable whatsoever here. Skandinavian countries are the same. *So depending on your culture you should be very careful with that trick.* You keep me waiting for longer than 10 minutes without any message? Hum. Longer than 20 minutes? Better have a *very* good reason. Longer than 30 minutes? Being dead is the only defense you got at this point. And we're definitely not gonna meet again. Being considerate and respectful of other people's time is sexier than letting them wait. It wouldn't work on me, anyway.

its weird that we are having this conversation about someone who died from a barbiturate overdose... i love Marilyn, but oh boy was her self confidence not only unnatural, it was a facade! there is no judgment for people suffering with addiction, only the understanding how painful life can be and being sober can be... just odd how we glorify the sultry aspects of her but no one talks about how much she suffered.

7:56 You know what, this is actually so true. Every time I go on a date (I'm a very insecure young woman, I'm 24 years old but I'm still really insecure and I'm trying to work on that aspect), I can't help but laugh (almost nervously, though it's not loud or anything) all the time. Like, almost at every sentence! And I thought that it was okay and "oh well I don't like being like this but maybe guys think it's kinda cute" but to be honest, I really don't want to act like that around guys or around my crush. Because, it really makes me look kind of "silly" and insecure even though I'm not like that "normally" (if that makes sense). Also, I noticed that I'm always the person that makes other people feel extremely comfortable but most people don't make me feel comfortable in return, I don't know if anyone has already experienced that. I know it seems nice and I don't want to be less friendly or anything but, I think I should just act a bit more reserved because I always feel like I'm the goofy and funny type of person in public, JUST because I'm feeling insecure and I think that everyone else is better than me. You know, if it was my normal personality or something than I wouldn't be saying that but I really don't want to be like this, I don't want people to perceive me like this, I want people to respect me and I want them to take me seriously. Anyway, the whole video is really good but that particular part resonated with me so much! Don't let anyone make you feel like they're better than you, whether it's friends, family or strangers (because yes, sometimes it's your own friends or family that make you feel like you're not that important). I'm seriously going to work on that : feeling more confident, being less "goofy" or "funny" in public, using a feminine and calm voice,... Just trying to "Siren" like Marilyn right ;)
@222o-u3t
@222o-u3t Жыл бұрын
I have totally felt this way!! This described (and still does) me so well. The key really is good self-worth and confidence, then you realise nobody is better than anyone else regardless of talent, skill or (even perceived) status, and so you just act accordingly with no second thought. Not even those dudes you’re on a date with. That way, they not only respect you more but feel more respected themselves. In your life you will always come across people you feel inadequate to, it is impossible to never do. So the real secret is to try see “better” people as a genuine inspiration, and want to genuinely learn from them, with not the slightest bad intention (either through envy or shame) That part is difficult, more than people can admit to themselves, and it’s why the whole shadow work thing went so viral on TikTok and the internet, I really recommend it. The name sounds spiritual, but it’s from a term coined by psychologist Carl Jung, meant to refer to your like “darker” self that you don’t like and sometimes psychologically aren’t even self-aware of, basically.

I swear The Marilyn is all about the style/+the mannerism. Just looking at Jessica here, in all her older videos, she still had the exact same face but never gave Marilyn vibes or even "looked like" Marilyn, and even here in this video sometimes she doesn't remind you of her at all at some points. But now after she changed her make up, eyebrows, style + learned the mannerism, how she holds her eyes and even how she moves her lips, and suddenly it's Marilyn reincarnated! 🤩

Just noting the comment about everyone having to work to Marilyn's time, waiting for her for hours... this wasn't deliberate "siren" behaviour. According to co-stars she was very insecure that she could look right, act right, be her best, without a *lot* of preparation. She'd take forever with makeup, rehearse lines, and so on, to an extreme point. People waited because she was worth it, but there were moments where she was told to hurry up and just stomach her unreadiness.
@jessicavill
@jessicavill Жыл бұрын
yes very accurate but other times she has stated in her diary that she would make people wait for her because she felt like she deserved to. She said it was like a sort of "punishment" for the same society that bullied her as a child.

Wow... I can tell that you are very successful at Sirening, simply because like Marilyn Monroe, you are a humble student. Monroe was always calculating and always realistic (by reason of her pain) and that was able to help her with finding the weakness of men then exploiting. Lol omg this is dangerous.

Ladies, I don't do any of that, and guys still throw themselves at me. Even when I got married, people still hit on me. People shouldn't play games with people they like. If you like someone, let them know. Have boundaries and standards while liking people though, so you know who's acceptable to like, and who isn't.

We really don't know you, are you already pretty? If you're attractive you posses pretty privilege, which is out of this discussion. Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the concept of *seduction*, which is an art of persuasion without any sort of violence or aggression. Men and women can be absolute seducers if they wish to be so, but of course requires time, patience and EFFORT. Some people is just afraid of embodying the fantasy of someone else and get whatever they want with excitement (love, power, money, beauty, all above) Although I know some people just don't have what requires to live a good seduction. Plus what is exactly the concept of people throwing at you, did your life got better with this people around? How much is what you're paying? (Emotionally)

@@marte1376 It doesn't matter what I look like. Everyone is attractive in their own way, and not everyone likes what is more popular to like. I love Jessica, but I also want to point out some contradictions she's made. In her video about Marilyn's dress being ruined by Kim, she explained to us how she was forced into a s*xual role because Playboy supposedly leaked one of her n*de photos without her consent. She then explained that this role she was forced in made her spiral into depression. If you're a s*xual person by nature, own it. If you're not, own that too. As mentioned, there are going to be people who will like you whether you're this way or not. It is not responsible to teach women to manufacture their mannerisms in order to get people to like them. Even Marilyn had people that didn't like her, so rejection is a part of life and it needs to be embraced. The genuine people who are meant for you are not going to force you into a role that doesn't fit your soul.

@@courtneybridge1427 i don't think you're able to understand ìt. Yes, Marilyn suffered so much but she loved also the blonde bombshell stereotype and to create her own brand she practiced for years. Seduction is playing to be an illusion greater than life for achieving what you want. This is a fact, power dynamics are still between us whether want to accept it or not, even yourself love the idea of power too. Some people put as an excuse the quote of "be yourself" to avoid being better people. Marilyn was an amazing seducer although other parts of her life and cinema industry were terrible

@@marte1376 Thank you for your well thought out response. However, you and I are going to have to do the honorable act of agreeing to disagree. Continue living your life the way you want, and I'm going to be over here living mine the way I want.

Several years ago a very muscular handsome man walked into a club and everyone both men and women became silent and stared at him!! He was that good looking!! We both locked eyes with interest. Soon their were about 6 women surrounding him feeling his muscles and giggling !! I got up and walked past them as he looked at me he smiled seductively and I rolled my eyes!! Lol. I stood all alone in a section and he literally pushed these gals off him and ran over to me!! He said " All those girls were feeling my muscles and you can too if ya want!!". I arrogantly said. " They are disrespectful mauling you !" He says " you can touch my muscles too if ya want". I said " Go back over to them because I have eyes and don't need to maul you !!". Lol. It drove him crazy that I was aloof but yet friendly. Lol

Haha! This is viscous! I think people should just be up front and be themselves, and hope you find the same. Games are not worth it. I think obliviousness works far better. Men are also terrified of coming off as creeps so women are going to have to put in more effort Follow the golden rule friends.
