Looks easy. In Rocky Mountains where I am from top of the moguls quit often means it is the top of the rock and you get core shots. How do you ski steep big moguls.

There is a lot of mogul videos on my channel. Here is one where I ski in StAnton. Steep, but everything is relative. Same for bumps. Here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fIOnoYOXiraYiLM I was skiing WC bump zipper lines yesterday but A: Im no good at zipper lines anymore B: my hip injury said no. Not in the shape I was 10 years ago. But that calls for good strategy and technique. My main aim is to point my ski tips into the soft snow that leads up to the crest of the bump. Makes me slow down and the impact is not as fears as in an icy zipper line. Hope this helps. Cheers, Tom

I'm from Rocky Mountains too. Moguls are the result of skiers turning in the same place. The ski pushes snow into a pile AKA mogul. No rocks on the top of the pile of snow. This is the sweet spot. Rocks will eventually get exposed in the rut. Don't carve in the rut. Most people are not patient and can't wait for the sweet spot. Carve on the fluffy tops. I'll try to do a video on this when I get a chance.

So basically you are teaching people to aim for the top part of the bump and turn. I teach something similar but, in my opinion, even easier. I teach people who are intimidated by the bumps to side slipping toward the top of each bump and to continue side slipping down that same bump. I like what you teach here is a next step from what I teach. Turn on the top of the bump when you are ready for a turn instead of always side slipping it.

Yes, exactly. Never taught about it like that but in my opinion you really cannot side slip up the hill side of a bump can you? But correct, just turn at the top and side slip every other bump left and right. Cheers, T
