Incongruous. How sacred smudge teachings, came with selling the skin /fur/ leather of animals that want their lives? I absolutely love this!! I’ve picked out the perfect abalone shell however I’ve never used one before. It was highly recommended to me that I use sand to preserve the beauty of it which I want it to stay as beautiful as it is BUT I’ve been wondering how I’m supposed to return it back to nature unless I put the sand with it. Thanks for your question. You can keep your shell until it's no longer a shell, lol. For years and years. I'm not sure what you mean by sand as we don't use sand with our shells. It's ok for it to get the resins all over it, think of it like a cast iron pan being seasoned. A mini cast iron pan is also a great way to smudge. :) Hope this helps!

Hi there! We recommend keeping them closed initially. The smoke is used to cleanse the environment, and the sage shouldn't emit so much smoke that it is suffocating.

Hello there I have a question. I have heard you must cover every inch and corner of your home in order for the smoke to properly cleanse the home. But how do I reach those tuck and difficult spaces like the attic. My new house that I just bought has an attic that it's very low and I'm afraid to crawl in because I'm not familiarized with the structure and I'm afraid the ceiling may collapse. Also because the attic also has lots of lose insulation and I'm afraid to drop something that could potentially start a fire. So the question is, how do I properly do it. Do I leave the attic out of the process or do I only smudge from the ladder and blow the smoke towards the inside of the attic asking the creator to please cleanse this area even though I myself can't reach all the way inside. Please let me know, I would really appreciate it. Thank you 😊💓

Great question, Fanny. You can definitely waft the smoke in that general area - every inch of your home isn't being super specific I think it's just the idea of trying to get as much as the space as you can. I think your idea is the right way to go!

@@pocahontasreff4356 No, but I did learn that it's best to begin in the room next to the front door - windows open, drawers, closets, etc., and move your way thru the home in a clockwise direction ending at the front door. I spoke to several people and this was the most common - but, it also depends on personal preference. I was told to use my intuition best. I hope this helps!

It's preference. You don't really need to open a window or door to let out negativity, the smudge does that on it's own :) Some feel more comfortable opening a window or door and that's ok too.

You can always try again if it doesn't work the first time. Set clear intentions on why you are smudging like asking any bad spirits or negative energies to be gone from your house/room to get rid of them. You can also try putting a dreamcatcher in her room.

Well, I got my kit. Followed instructions but put too much Sage in the shell. Losts of smoke, the fire alarm went off. The shell got so hot it left a burn mark on my portable table. I literally had to pick up the shell with a kitchen mitten. quickly walked thru my apartment removing all negative and blessing my home. At the end. I realized my little Yorkie was shaking uncontrollably. My other dog was OK. I opened the eondows and took my dogs out of the apartment . We went for a long walk breathing fresh air. THANK GOD my lil one got better. It took almost all day for the smell to dissipate. And to make matters worse. I Had to use my asthma inhaler several times. Won't be doing this again. Trying to figure out what to do with the rest of the smudging stuff bought.
