Hey, sorry to hear that. Sometimes these things just need practice too. Keep trying and focus on experimenting with where your ring finger is resting on the thumb muscle and if your middle finger is hitting in the right spot to make good contact with the little valley your ring finger and thumb muscle make. Everyones hands are a little bit different but stick with it and it should come eventually. :) good luck!

@@PaulHaywood thank you for the tips I can now constantly snap but it's still not loud so can I ask any tips?
@PaulHaywood4 жыл бұрын
@@redneat8181 To get the loudest snap sound you need a combination of precision (getting that finger hitting the perfect spot as it makes contact, as well as the hand position to make the best "accoustic horn" haha) and speed/power. You don't need to squeeze super hard before letting the finger slip off the thumb but if you can build up that strength then when it slips off to travel down and hit, if it's travelling faster then there'll be a bigger snap sound. Finger/thumb muscle strength can take a while to build up because they are such small muscles involved. (thumb muscle is on the hand, finger muscle is down in the forearm.) :)

The vast majority of people seem to have damp hands, i know coz I've shaken too many wet ones. it doesn't work for me for some reason... does my dry hand also affects the loudness of the snapping as well?

It's really about getting the ring finger resting in just the right spot on the thumb muscle and then the middle finger coming down and hitting the thumb muscle and ring finger at the same time. See where your middle finger is hitting on the thumb muscle and try to move the ring finger into the best spot so the middle finger hits it a bit too. It's like you are creating a valley with the thumb muscle and ring finger into which the index finger lands. Then add a bit off speed and power by squeezing off the top of the thumb so the middle finger falls into that "valley" a bit harder. This should add volume. It's much more about getting things in just the right place rather than using lots of hand strength. :) hope that helps a bit. Let me know if you manage it. :D

It's so funny and strange to see so many people that can't do a finger snap. We brazilians do it naturally since we were kids

+Wesley Souza Hi Wesley, i think its the same in most countries. I get plenty of views from Brazil on this video... ;) haha Hopefully this vid is helping those who havent ever been shown how to do it or it doesnt come naturally to. :)
