I can`t see my cameras when away from my network using the PC software. Will adding the 'alternative DNS server' mean that I can? I can see the mobile app no problem but it suits me better to view on the laptop. Or should I do something different.

First, check your Internet connection by check your Cable connection. Make sure you have already set dhcp on network setting, and make sure your device get ip address. Then make sure you already Enable Hik-Connect service.

Hello I'm using Hilookvision on the android app and it works very well. However using the PC app it's very patchy. It's very slow to start, Sometimes it streams live video but then hangs. Sometimes it won't stream at all. I have a fast fibre connection at both ends. It's very frustrating. The manage remote device seems to work OK.

But when the DvR is off due to the current going off, in that case the current goes off, in fact the auto is not online, then I have to configure it and go online. What you need to do is see if ur internet wire works if it does unplug it and go onto network then IP address remove all the IP address with the internet cable out then turn camera off plug internt bag in and hopefully it should have ur IP address from the reset wires connection. When setting up the camera they always have a IP address that u need to change hope this helpted it worked for me ❤

Dear HIKvision, Please fix the issue with 265+ with HIK-Connect. I have no problems with PC when viewing or playback via the web browser. However with the 265+ enabled and I usually get connection lost and unable to establish. This is not a wireless problem or else my PC would experience the same. You should check one by one, make sure your internet is stable, Make sure your connection between modem router and dvr is okay, make sure lan indicator on back of device is blink. Make sure your device get ip address from modem router by enable dhcp option on dvr. And make sure you already enable hik-connect service on platform access

@@hikconnect Yeh it appeared the booster that was Wifi'd in needed resetting. After that was reset it then worked. Still cant get access to the online website though it said page not found. But the main thing is I can connect on mobile devices, just not the laptop atm. I contacted support but they said they only support the distributors and not end users and I cant get a hold of the installer so im stuck really.

Doesn't work. Tried resetting to factory defaults, also tried restarting the router many times, configured the settings as well. Linking status of the internet to the device is 'succedded' and can see sending and receiving traffics from the network settings. But it still is OFFLINE. It just happened. I was able to access it via the app this morning and then an hour later it's gone offline 🥺

First, you can reboot your device, reboot your router, then make sure your device Already online on platform access. Make sure your device already connect internet correctly

You can use google chrome or Internet Explorer. Detect your ip address by using sadp tool

@@hikconnect Hi I installed sadp tool.But it doesn’t show anything.When I check my hikvision app,it says my cameras are offline as I turned off my dvr by mistake.After I turned back on,it says offline.

I think you need to double check your cable from dvr to router. And make sure the port router have Internet connection

@@hikconnect checked both. Cable is fine and internet is stable. It still disconnect after a couple of hours. I believe this is something to do with the network settings
